"I never said you wouldn't be treated as a person of some esteem, it's obvious. They'll most likely think you're also a knight." Alex said, giving him a slight smile, "But we'll go to the tavern and have a drink or two and we'll fit in real nicely."

Felix smiled at her between bites and continued to eat.

David nodded, the tavern sounded like a nice place to be. Although he also knew that people would be rowdy when they were sick off of the drinks. David looked over his shoulder at a couple villagers talking, he didn't mind. A woman with a small child offered friendly smiles and waves to David as he passed by. He smiled and waved back at them, looking forward again. These people were nice. "Hm, I should live here." He said with a grin. It was obvious he was joking, but something in him said he wasn't kidding.

Anna looked over her shoulder at him eating and smiled again, after she finished the dishes she dried them and put them away in the cupboards. She grabbed a towel and dried her small hands, leaning against the wall. She looked out the window, watching the trees sway and the birds begin flying and calling each other.

Alex smiled, "Maybe you'll be able to some day." she said, almost doubtful, he was prince after all, but she let him have his moment. She wouldn't settle down, not ever, unless she found the right man to share her life with, and even then she wasn't sure.

David nodded and smiled, he simply shrugged before slowing Jasper down to observe the buildings. They looked different than that of those that were in his kingdom. He looked around at the people before kicking Jasper's sides again. He kept thinking about his family back at home and he was thinking about all the good times when he was young.

Alex urged Flame into a trot and slowed him before the tavern, getting off and handing a groom the reigns and handing him a few coins and a smile before glancing back to see if David was following before slipping into the tavern. It would cause less trouble if they weren't seen together inside, it would make it easier, and besides, she didn't want to look like she was with him, with him. She was very much single.

David slowed Jasper in front of the tavern, slipping off of his back and wincing as his feet touched the hard ground. He sighed as he limped into the tavern. A couple fellas outside the door stopped him. "Hey fella, what's wrong with you?" They asked, looking him over. David moved his hair from his face, "I've been in a sword fight." He said simply. The guys slammed him against the wall, "Now look here boy, we don't like violence here so just keep your head on or we'll even you right up. Got me?" He warned. David nodded, hurrying to slip inside and to the bar.

Alex sat down at the bar, ordering mead and leaning against the table, she glanced around, curious as to who was there and if anyone remotely interesting was there, no one caught her eye. She watched David walk in and gave him a slight smile.

David gave her a smile, showing his white teeth. He simple ordered a brew that the bartender had been talking about. Home made. He smiled and took a cautious sip, surprised how good the brew actually was. He took bigger gulps, nodding and talking to a couple of the men in the bar. They laughed and joked with him, David made about 5 new friends.

Anna face hardened slightly as she grew concerned. She let out a quiet sigh and looked away from the window. A trouble look on her face.

Alex smiled, getting her mead and started to drink, happy to be having a bit of fun. She was joined by a cute young man and he offered to buy her another drink, she accepted and they started to chat. She laughed at one of his stupid jokes and glanced at David, glad to see him enjoying himself and relaxing a bit.

David smiled and joked around with a couple of the men, but he went too far with one joke. The man looked at him a little cross but they couldn't stay mad at him. "Your alright kid!" One man said, slapping him hard on the back. David winced and groaned, feeling his back and looking at the concerned men. "My appologies, I've just been in a sword fight recently."

Alex smiled and returned her attention back to the man she was talking to. It was obvious what he wanted, but with the prince around she wasn't quite willing to give it to him. She humored him for a bit. He continued to buy her drinks, trying to get her drunk.

David exlpained the story to them but didn't tell them that he was a prince, a young prince with a fortune waiting for him at home. They were interested and fascinated with the story. It seemed like the whole tavern was listening, and pretty soon, they were. David explained with hand gestures and vivid description. He also mention Alex. How brave she was.

Alex turned at the mention of her name, her gaze settling on David. She blushed slightly, but kept silent, listening in amusement as he told the tale. It was a bold and happy tail at the least, and if seemed to make him more alive.

Felix glanced up as he saw Anna's face, "What's wrong love?" he asked.

Anna sighed simply, "Oh it's just David. I'm hoping he's okay but with Robin on the loose I-I" She stopped, looking down at the floor, her hand on her forehead and her other arm wrapped around herself. She sighed deeper, not happy about the thoughts crossing her mind.

"He's got Alex with him, if anything, she'll protect him. Have you seen her letter from the king in her kingdom, she's her best man. Anyways, a girl'l be good for him, maybe he'll finally find a wife." Felix said, confident in his son and his protector.
