"It wasn't me," Slick held up a paw as if he was innocent.

"Yeah, maybe so, " Slick chuckled, "Lets go, I'm tired." he turned in the direction of the bedrooms.
A few days later... Ace, Zero, and Slick had already said goodbye to Richard and the other friends they made before getting on the final plane that was to take them to Afghanistan, and now that the flight was close to ending Ace wanted to get to the military base quickly.

Zero was sitting quietly, thoughts idly going through his head.

"Got it Ace." The Shepherd said, shaking himself to shake off the nervousness, the sadness of leaving friends behind, and the fear of something bad happening.

"If we run, we should make it to the base in half an hour or so. " Ace said to no one in particular.

"Come on, you gotta keep up, " Ace said, while sprinting.
"Oh come on, " Slick huffed and puffed, while following behind Zero.

Zero ran quickly, trying to keep his breathing controlled so he wouldn't fall behind like Slick. However he kept his pace a little down so the Dalmatian could keep up.

"We're almost there, just a few more blocks, and out into the desert a little ways. " said Ace.
