He ran and perked his ears up. For a little bit of running he started to hear something. He stopped abruptly.
"I hear something. Sounds like food." Rio said.

Sadie scented the air, her sensitive nose easily picking up the fatty scent of rabbit. Her mouth watered, and she swallowed. "Be quiet," she intructed softly, crouching into a hunting position. She made sure her tail wasn't sticking up, and crept forward, her white paws surprisingly silent on the leaf-strewn ground. Tensing as the rabbit came into view, she slunk forward. WIth a swift bite, and little pain for the prey, the rabbit lay dead. Her mouth watered even more as she padded back over to Rio.

"Good catch. But what I heard was something bigger." Rio said.
He ran off and went toward the noise.
He started to slow down. He spotted a deer. He then crept up behind it, and bit it very hard. It was dead.
Rio carried it all the way back to Sadie, with a smile on his face.

"Nice!' Sadie said admiringly, dropping her rabbit in the snow in order to answer. "Much better than this scrap of fur," she said, touching teh rabbit with a paw.

"That's why having good ears comes in handy." Rio chucked.
Rio cut the deer in half and gave one half of it to Sadie.

"Thank you," Sadie said. She prefered deer to rabbit, but wasn't able to bring one down herself. She admired RIo for being able to do it. Sh etook a bite, her teeth sinking into the tender meat, still warm. "Mmmm," she murmured, pleasure overwhelming her mouth.

"Speaking of which, Ayame and William are probably waiting for us," Sadie said, after swallowing.

"Yeah, lets finish eating and then head to them. We shouldn't let this food go to waste should we." Rio said.

Sadie smiled again. "No, we shouldn't," she agreed. She ate rapidly, but was unable to finish the deer, and the rabbit lay untouched.

Rio finished his half of the deer, then didn't want the rabbit to go to waste, so he decided to eat that too.
"Alright, lets go." Rio said.

"I can't believe you ate all that!" Sadie laughed, staring at her own, unfinished portion, and then at Rio.
