David took a glance at her. "I get out on business and nothing else." He said with a simple shrug. "Never had a reason to leave for no reason." He said with a grin. He looked over at her and then at Jasper, thinking about the first time he had got Jasper. About 4 years ago. They had grown up together.

Alex smiled, "Yeah, I sort of understand." she nodded, happy she was with him on this ride, glad he had decided to go now. She hated the idea of staying in one place for long, especially sitting in the castle. She'd been trained to always been on her feet and it was a hard habit to cross.

David nodded with a small grin, riding in silence as he listened to Jasper's hooves thumping against the ground. Jasper was a beautiful Freisian stallion, pure black with the prettiest dark brown eyes David had ever seen. He held onto the reigns, ignoring the pain and the falcon pacing on his weak shoulder.

Alex put her helm in her saddle bag, smiling. She relaxed a bit into her saddle, happy to be back in the saddle. She patted Flame's neck, the big bay trotted smoothly, hand on her sword. She have him a bit of reign.

David could hear things in the forest rustling around and it made him a little bit nervous. Is it that man again? Has he come to finish me off? He thought nervously as he kicked Jasper into a run. He wanted to get through the forest and out of there as quick as possible. He couldn't help but fear the forest, wondering where he was. Robin wasn't lurking in the woods for him, he was back at his little shack in the forest, plotting and scheming.

Alex glanced around, puzzled at what had made him hurry. She didn't think on it long, tapping Flame's sides and they followed behind, quickly catching up and keeping pace until they were out of the forest. She noticed that he looked nervous and relieved as soon as they were other of the trees, but she didn't question, it wasn't her place.

David smiled some as he cleared the forest, relaxing some so that he wouldn't seem so tense around this new lady. Beside's, someone that high of ranking, he knew that he couldn't fear anything. He knew he had to be ready and he had to be a good role model for her. Since of course he didn't want to look weak.

Alex looked ahead, dismissing his nervousness as an itch to get away from the city. She understood that, so it seemed most logical to her. She looked down at Flame's mane, threading it through her fingers and twisting it, before glancing back at him.

David looked around, farther away from the kingdom than he had thought. "Okay, you've got me out here now where are we going?" He said with a smile, looking forward at Alex. He slowed Jasper down just a little bit, making his wounds feel a little better. Everything was so peaceful out here now.

"Oh, about fifteen minutes." Alex said, slowing Flame to match his horse. She smiled, "maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less, depend." she added, patting her horse's neck, she loved it out here, where no one lived, but she couldn't wait to show him the town, where he could be normal.

David nodded, "Oh I don't mind waiting that long. If this town really doesn't know me." He said before resting on Jasper's back. He tried to not think about the pain he was enduring in this ride. He knew sooner or later though he'd have to stop and take a rest. Hoping he wouldn't have to until they reached the town. He wondered if his mother had noticed. He had hoped not.

Alex smiled, "i can guarantee they don't." she said, relaxing and taking in her surroundings. It was beautiful out here and the grass stirred ever so lightly, the flowers grew tall and it was so very nice.

Anna walked to the table, setting a steaming bowl of her delicious stew down on the table. Walking over to the cupboard she pulled out a bottle of fine wine, she poured it in a glass and set it down next to the bowl of food. She looked over at Felix, "Honey. Your dinner." She said with a smile on her face. Oh how she come to love this brave and nobel man over the years.

Flex grinned, "Thanks, love." he said, unbuckling his belt and sword, setting them off to the side, he sat, rubbing his hands together. "Mmm, my favorite." he said, smiling at her warmly before picking up his spoon and starting to eat.

Alex smiled as she started to see the telltale signs of the village, a farm here, a farm there. Soon they were on a cobblestone road and the buildings were visible in the distance.

Anna nodded and smiled, she loved him so much. "Your welcome dear." She said, walking over to a sink and scrubbing some of the other dishes clean. The cold water made her hands feel numb to the bone and it didn't help that the sink was under a window that allowed open breezes from time to time. Anna hummed quietly, remembering all the times she and Felix had been off on adventures with each other. She decided after he ate and was rested a little, they would go out and cause trouble like they used to. Do bring the spark back.

David rode in silence, noticing a few village people looking at him. It was obvious he was an outsider. A man with a few missing teeth walked up to him, "Nice horse mister, you must have the money of a king to pay for a horse that purty." He said with a smile. David nodded, "Thank you." He said, glancing at Alex.
