(Ok )Adanna nodded then she whispered,"I... think it's time for the cubs!'' She whispered silently.

Zuberi, nodded and ran off towards the cave where his mother was laying,"M.. mom a..are y..you ok?'' He asked coming closer to her unaware that she might snap at him.

Enzi pushed his node into her fur. "Lie down and don't worry about a thing." he reassured her. "You've done this many times before."

Furaha then noticed her mother and nudged her sister Njozi,"Something's wrong with mom!'' She said.

Adanna then looked at Enzi,"C.. can you get Rafiki?'' Adanna asked after the body of Kefir was buried and Ashante was still with his father.

Njozi looked at her mother. "Birthing time." she said, happily.

Enzi nodded. He walked over to Rafiki. "Adanna's giving birth." he told the old baboon shaman. "Can you come?" Rafiki nodded and made his way to the tan lioness.

Adanna gasped as she felt the cub slip from her body,"N... Njozi.'' She said gasping for air again as another cub was about to be born.

Rafiki arrived just in time to feed some herbs to Adanna to soothe the birthing process. Njozi stood beside her mother, proud at being a big sister again.

"Rafiki, are they alive?'' Adanna asked her breathing easing after the last cub was born.

Rafiki looked over sadly. "Two are." he said. "I'm sorry, but your other two cubs have passed away."

"W.. where's Enzi?'' She said as Rafiki placed the two cubs at her stomach and she looked down and watched them suckle. "Ashante... come here for a minute.'' Adanna said clearly she wanted Ashante to see the yellow peach colored cub that looked like his father Kefir.

Enzi had left at the very moment when Rafiki had announced that two of his cubs had died. He sat on a rock at the base of Pride Rock and stared up at the sky. "Wherever you two are," he murmured to his lost cubs. "take care."

Ashante left the side of his father and walked up to Adanna. "Yes?" he asked, guilt filling him as he thought about his father's body.

Adanna purred, "Does this peach/yellow cub remember you of someone?'' Adanna asked and nuzzled the peach/yellow cub which mewed and crawled over her brother.(You can have the brother and I'll have the sister , and I would like to make him a mate too and you could make a mate for the sister ).

(sure, and i was wondering if Lunar could make his mate? She is also one of my friends, and I haven't let her make any for any of my characters yet)

Ashante looked carefully at the cub. "It reminds me of Dad." he finally said, astounded. His father had come back as his little adoptive sister.

(Ok She can ). Adanna purred as her mate Enzi walked back inside the Pride Rock den, "What do you think of letting Ashante naming one of the cubs that looks like his father?'' She asked Enzi.

(thanks )

"That's the girl. right?" Enzi asked, unsure about the genders of his cubs. He felt really silly.

"Yes it's your little girl.'' Adanna purred then chuckled.
