"Right. Of course you were," Victor said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.
"I think thats a 'yes'," Biddy said to Victor as she looked over her shoulder at Asher and waved back to him. She turned back to Zane, her smile faltered a bit as he started to go. "Oh, alright, I'll see you later."
Just as Zane was gone, Asher was suddenly in front of her. "Oh, um, I don't know," she said, deciding to act dumb and naive rather than bring up the tension between the brothers.

"What a gentleman," Biddy teased as she started towards the school.
