Rainstorm mentally breathed a sigh of relief, unable to do it outloud with Dustfur in close proximity. She was glad he had believed her, of course, it wasn't too hard to believe.

Poppytail immediatly nodded, changing from a concerned friend to a brisk medicine cat. She had luckily already prepared a marigold poulitice...you never know when you have to be prepared. She placed the chewed up wads on the worst wounds. When the juices had soaked in, cobwebs were placed, stopping the flow of blood and providing protection from dirt, etc. "Take a break from hunting and patrolling and give them time to heal," she mewed. "And come and see me daily so I can inspect them," she added.

Dustfur sniffed at the wound, and brought back someherbs that he put on it. "Your excused from duties today."

"Yes, Poppytail." Silverclaw said. "Should I go back to the den?"

Rainstorm felt both relieved and disappointed at the same time. INstead of showing these emotions however, she dipped her head in acknowledgment. "Thanks, Dustfur," she said.

Poppytail, with her frequent moments of sarcasm and teasing, cocked her head. "And where else would you go?"

"Uh... the dirtplace?" Silver questioned.

Dustfur nodded. "Its my job."

Poppytail let out a disbelieving and yet again sarcastic, mix between a snort and exhalation.

Rainstorm managed a small smile, then padded towards the warrior's den. She felt bad for not being able to go on the hunting patrol aking place around sunhigh, but then again, she would have time to think about her dream....which turned out to be completely real. It wasn't like she doubted it had been from the start, but she didn't expect to wake up with claw marks marring her flesh.

"Can I go?" Silverclaw asked.

Poppytail nodded. "Yes."

Rainstorm ran across Hazelclaw, who was going to be in the huning patrol too. "Hey, Hazleclaw!" she called out. The small tabby lifted her head. "I'm not going to be able to go hunting later. If you see Nightfur, will you tell him I'm sorry?" A small nod was all the answer she needed before heading towards the warrior's den.

Silverclaw slipped out of the medicine den. She padded to the warriors den, where Blackstripe was dozing. The black she-cat lifted her head, before putting it back on her paws and sleeping. Silverclaw walked to her nest and settled down.

Rainstorm was relieved to have the chance to think about last night's experience. It had been horrible, but some things had to be re-visited. Sadly, this was one of them. She curled up in a ball, the tip of her tail brushing her nose. Before she knew it, she fell asleep.

Silverclaw closed her eyes, and sleep washed over her.

Bright sunlight streamed into the den, and Rainstorm yawned. A jolt of guilt and surprise raced through her as she realized it was sunhigh, and she must have missed the hunting patrol. A dull ache and her returning memories reminded her of the events last night, and the fact she was unable to do anything useful for a few days...at best. A small sigh escaped the silver she-cat at this conclusion.

Silverclaw layed in her nest.

Time passed slowly, but the hunting patrol did return. Rainstorm padded outside, her injured leg stiff from a lack of movement. She stretched it, enjoying the feeling of the sun warming her fur. As she made her way slowly to the refreshed prey pile, a yowl made her life her head. Her ears swiveled to the source, and she looked to see her leader.
