"Well..." Mike began, then paused for a moment.
"Atleast they are calming down. Let's just forget about all this for the moment. Let's just get on with life, and see what tomorrow brinks. Okay?"
Mike nuzzled Jamie again.
"It'll be just fine"
With that, Mike walked off to the dens. He had a plan.

Mike stepped up to a small group of older wolves, and they becam silent.
"I want to set up a search. See if you can find any more strange gold plates or other odities around here."
The wolves nodded in agreement, and with that, they left to do their leader's bidding.
Mike then found his way back to Jamie.
"It's a pity that Helga died before we made it here. She would have known what this was all about."

"Yeah. It's also a shame that the kids never got to see her before she died. We should've had them before she died." Jamie sighed. She then ran off to the den in sorrow and she cried burying her face in her paws.

She buried her face in his chest staining it making it wet, "It's not you. It's just the fun memories that we three had together those harsh months." She said.

Mike was cut off by loud howls coming from the woods.
"Jamie! Thats the wolves I sent out to look for other strange things. i think they are in trouble!"

" Ok. I'll catch up. You go ahead." She said. She then left the den and found Mike and the other wolves looking down at something, " What is it guys?" She asked making her way into the crowed.

Mike wove through the crowd. There was a very thick smell of blood in the air, and as he made it to the center of the group, he saw where it was coming from. Laying on the ground was the remains of an old wolf named Leper, soaked in blood with a large gash on his side. Mike gagged and almost lost it on the spot. A female wolf names Penelope was crying softly.
"We...we were all ahead of him. N...next thing we know, we heard a horrible noise and a large splash. Leper was dead instantly." Penelope then broke down completely and sobbed openly.
Mike took a stand on a large rock next to the carcass.
"Go back to the dens and grab all, if any, personal items you own. We are moving immediately."

Jamie took Penelope and said, "C'mon. Lets got gather up your stuff. I've felt that way before too. I know how you're feeling right now." She said and took her to the den.

As the rest of the wolves turned to head back home, Mike took one more look at the once peaceful lake and shook his head. Will they ever find another place as beautiful as this? As he began walking back, he heard a deep, unearthly growl. Mike looked back in time to see a monsterous animal looking just like the one on the plate jump clean out of the water before breaking the surface and submerging again underwater. Mike then knew, any place was better than this.

Jamie called from the den, " What is it Mike?! Penelope and the rest of the wolves are ready to go now!" They flooded out of the huge packed den.

Mike let out a long sigh.
"Let's go, Jamie."

She wiggled her way to Mike and made an announcement turning around, " OK. I know we are such a huge pack, but, we will have to jam together to keep safe." She said to the quiet pack as they started to form in a tight circle. She turned around and started to walk beside Mike.

Mike walked next to Jamie for awhile, but suddenly he got an uneasy feeling.
"Jamie? Do you know where we are going?"
He paused for a moment, then continued.
"I think we're going back the way we came here from two years ago."
