"And why would you ever want to be here?" Sonya asked playfully, a smile playing on her lips.

Rose stretched her paws put on Katie's bed. She walked down the steps when she heard voices.
Sonya giggled as put a paw to the collar to make it stop spinning. "There's only one reason I can think of." She moved her face closer to his.
"Sonya!" Rose stuck her head out the dog door. She slipped her body through the door and glared at Dustin. "What is he doing here?"

"I don't trust him," Rose said, turning to Sonya and ignoring Dustin's existence. "He's a street dog. They can't be trusted."
"And I rancher can be?" Sonya asked. Rose looked at her with confusion. "I can smell, Rose, and that hay loft reaks of you and Tyson."
"He needed a place to rest," Rose said cooly.
"So did Dustin."
"It's different."
"Why? Because Dustin dowsn't doesn't have an owner and Tyson does?" Sonya glared at Rose. "Don't tell me to stay away from a guy when you can't keep your paws off another. I don't even want to know what happened up that loft."
Rose was breathing heavily but kept her eyes locked with Sonya's. "That is my business. Stay out of it."
"Then stay out of mine." She glared Rose straight in the eye before turning quickly. "Come on, Dustin. Let Rose stay here with her business."
