Alex held the bird steadily and took a seat on a chair, crossing her legs in a ladylike fashion. She may have been a knight, but it didn't mean she didn't value some customs and manors. It felt odd to just be sitting, after so many days of travel to get there, but it felt good. She watched, hoping the prince would be alright.

The medics wrapped David up in bandages, leaving him to get some rest. David's mother Anna walked over to him and kissed him on his head. "I love you." She said with a smile, using a gentle hand to touch his hair. David smiled, "Mom, I'm going to live." He said with a smile. Anna nodded and left the room, leaving David and Alex alone. David looked around the room and sat up, he walked over to the window and sat on the window sil, he took a deep breath of the fresh air. Wanting his shirt back on.

Alex watched him, an understanding look on her face. "You know, you're quite lucky. I mean, to have such loving parents, to be a prince, and to be alive." she said. She knew she was very much stating the obvious, but she had no idea what to say and hated the thought of silence, since she hadn't known him for long. Of course, it was rare she did get to know people, especially men, and she did prefer silence to talking, she felt as if it was right to talk to him.

David nodded, "Being a prince has it's perks but I just wish for once that I'd be able to walk around like a normal person without getting treated any different than anyone else." David said as he pulled his brown eyes to the left to look at Alex. He sighed and simply looked back out the window.

Alex smiled, "Tell you what, when you're feeling all better, let's go on a long ride, to a small village not far from here, and I promise that you'll be able to experience that, if you'd like." she said, biting her lip, hoping it wouldn't seem like an order, or offensive. She knew the people there knew of their prince, but none had laid their eyes on him, as she'd stopped their on her way.

David nodded, "I'd like that very much." He said, grabbing a fresh shirt off of the stool sitting next to his bed. He hobbled over to a corner and slipped the shirt on, wincing as he pulled it on. David took a deep breath, grabbed his sword, and began toward the door. "Let's go right now." He said, looking at her.

"Now?" Alex asked, admiring his courage, not sure weather to take him seriously, or to stop him and tell him he should rest. She stood though, grabbing her helm off a table. She walked to him, hoping he was serious. It would be fun, to get out again. She hated to just sit around.

David winced and stumbled against one of the chairs before straightening up and beginning to walk towads the door again. His mother Anna was on the other side of the castle, waiting for Felix to come and get his dinner that she had spooned out for him. It has diced potatos, carrots, cellary, diced chicken had made into a very good stew.

Felix walked towards the kitchen, grateful for her, his stomach growling.

Alex checked the hall before glancing back at him, "You're sure you're up for this?" she asked, knowing that he must hurt, and not just a little. She wanted to make sure that he was willing the endure the pain of a long, jarring ride.

David nodded and looked at the door and down the hallway. "Yeah, I'm fine, let's go." He said before walking out into the hallway limping. He couldn't help but limp, with pain tearing through his legs and hips like swords through their victims. David hurried along, checking to make sure there were no guards around.

Alex followed close behind, her silver chain mail beneath her silk tunic clinking softly like bells. She couldn't help but keep a hand instinctively on the handle of her sword, ready to swing into action to protect him or herself. She held her helm in her other hand, not wanting to put it on, just yet.

David looked back, his falcon flying over and landing on his shoulder. He nodded as he looked forward, somehow slipping out of the castle un-noticed. He ran as fast as he could bear toward his horse, grabbing him and climbing on his back. David stopped, wincing and groaning quietly from the sharp pain.

Alex walked out behind him, whistling casually. Her charger, Flame trotted out of the stable, followed by a dazed groom. She laughed and patted his neck, taking his reigns in her hand, she mounted swiftly and slipped her feet into the stirrups, mentally pushing her heels down. She gathered the reigns and glanced at David. "Ready?"

David rubbed his side, feeling the pain and pinpointing it's location. He took a glance at Alex before grabbing a handful of his steed, Jasper's, reigns. He kicked Jasper's sides and off they rode, David trying not to look too hurt but pain obviously swelled up inside of him. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. He thought, having thoughts about turning around.

Alex kicked Flame after him, trotting up next to him, "Well, this is exciting, I'm sure for you anyway. Do you get out of the city often?" she asked, trying to be friendly and get to know him better. She found him interesting.
