Ashante sniffed. He caught an odor, he could never forget that smell. "HYENAS!" he yelled. He turned and alerted the rest of the pride as quickly as he could.

Kefir saw Penda being pinned by a hyena. Anger rose in his throat as he batted the hyena away, but was brought down by two more, which he bravely faced.

"Father... Zuberi, Kefir is being vicously attacked, She roaredand ran straight for the hyenas and used her paw and slashed a hyena across the face blood splattering on the pride rock floor.

Furaha's eyes widen and ran with Ashante and the rest of the pride towards Pride rock adrenline rushed through her.

Ashante reached just in time to pull off a nasty hyena off his father.

When Kefir felt the weight pulled off him, he looked up to see a lion looking like his father-in-law. "Ashante?" he asked, stunned.

Penda then stopped after swapping her paw across a hyena's face making it whimper and took off running towards it's home away from the pride lands and outlands,"Zuberi... Ashante's alive.'' She said and gasped.

Ashante didn't have time to answer to his father because he was just attacked by another three hyenas, which he threw off easily.

Furaha then found her father and asked him to help with the fighting,"Father you got to help them!'' she said then smacked a large hyena and she roared and jumped for another hyena and landed squarely on the back causing hit to yelp in pain.

Ujasiri saw Zuberi pinned to the ground and triumph filled his eyes he roared and pushed the hyena off and he also smacked the hyena with his paw sending more blood splattering everywhere.

Penda then had just reached her father Kefir but was soon blocked off by a hyena.

Enzi didn't need another sign. He rushed into the fight and fought right beside his brother Kovu. "Long time no see." he sheepishly said to his brother.

Faraji leaped at a hyena that was holding Ashante down. "Go!" he yelled. "Help your father!"

Ashante nodded at the larger lion and ran to help his father. He found Penda and looked at her, relieved to see that she was still alive. "Where's Dad?!" he asked her, panicked.

Penda gasped for air,"He's over there!'' She said pointing with her tail she then ran towards her brother Ashante and nuzzled him,"I... really missed you.''

He was surprised but happy. "I missed you too." he said. "But now's not the time." He pushed her off and looked her in the eye. "Dad needs my help."

Penda nodded and the three siblings ran towards their father all the hyenas had ran off towards the outlands to another place,"F.. father?'' Penda asked looking at her father's unmoving body. Adia came close by along with the other pride members including Adanna and Enzi and their cubs. Adanna looked at Enzi and nuzzled him feeling sympthany for the young female who was named Penda.

Ashante stared at his father. Kefir was now breathing very heavily. Ashante rushed to his father. "Dad." he said. "I'm so sorry." "It's not your fault." Kefir whispered."Atleast you came back." "You'll be alright, Dad." Ashante said. "I'll get Rafiki." "Don't!" Kefir said. "He can't help me now." "No." Ashante whispered, tears trickling down his cheek. "You can't leave now." "Goodbye, my son." Kefir then closed his eyes, and never opened them again.

"No... father!'' "P...please come back,....I.... love.. you.'' Penda said tears streaming down her face and one tear landed in Kefir's mane. Adia wailed her love gone forever, how will she survive without him now.

Ashante pushed his nose into his father's fur. The sun shone, but it seemed as cold as ice to him.

(May I make a mate for your Simba and Nala cub ? ). Adia then ran inside crying as she pushed her brother Hadi out of he way she then laid down with her head on her paws and cried.Adanna had start feeling cramps but just ignored it and whispered something to Enzi,"Should we stay for a month or should we leave?'' She asked quietly. Furaha then nuzzled Faraji for once she was happy and sad that Ashante lost his father and but was happy when the hyenas left.

Enzi nodded, pushing his nose into her tan fur. "I think we should." he said. "They need us now more than ever."

Ashante knew that his mother had run into the cave. He wanted to go comfort her, but he knew he couldn't leave his father's body. "Zuberi." he said. "Can you comfort Mom?"
