Cody smiled at Fern and said "It's a little bit of both but don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you." He blushed then and coughed to clear his throat. He said "And the pack will protect you too."

"Well thats a relief," Fern said, a slight blush on her cheecks from his earlier words.

Cody said politely "Well this is your new home. Would you let me have the honor of showing you around."

"Of course," Fern replied with a sweet smile.

Cody took her hand politely and said "Come with me, my lady, and I'll show you the kingdom." He started walking around the house, stopping at each door to explain to Fern what it was.

Fern took Cody's hand and followed him around the house, listening intently to each of his explanations.

Cody stopped at the very last door and hesitated because he's embarrassed that he's showing Fern his room. He cleared his throat many times but still couldn't speak and bring his hand up to open the door.

Fern noticed Cody hesitate at the last door. "Is something wrong?" she asked him innocently, not realizing that he was about to show her his room.

Cody gulped and said "No." He opened the door and said "Here is my room."

Fern peeked inside of his room. "Is that why you were so nervous?" she asked him.

Cody nodded his head and said "Nobody has ever seen my room before and I just don't like people seeing it. I live like a mutt."

"Whats that supposed to mean?" Fern asked.

Cody sighed and said "It's a very crude insult to a wolf if they are called or implied that they are in any way that they are a mutt which is lesser than a wolf by another wolf. Therefore, when I say that I live like a mutt, I am saying my living habits are extremely bad and messy."

Fern shrugged. "It can't be any worse than the state my room is in," she said.

Cody chuckled and said "So you are implying that we are both mutts then?"
