"Are you glad to of made up with Balto, Jenna, and the others? They've really warmed up to you." said Fang.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." said Aleu. "I love you."

"I am too." said Fang. "...Dad, I want you to be proud of me, are you?" he asked.
Aleu smiled. "You're a wonderful wolf." she said. "What was NAva like when he was younger?"

Fang gladly returned his father's nuzzle and tears of joy started down his face. "Dad, you have no idea how much I've wanted to hear that from you." he said. "Everyday, there was never a second I didn't want you to be proud of me. All I ever wanted was to hear that." he said.
Aleu chuckled. "I can understand that." she said. "He's a good wolf but I wish I could get the being one with a tree thing down, its harder than he makes it look."

Aleu nodded. "I know, that's happened to me." she said. "But I'm trying, I can get partway but then get thrown out." she said. "With a lot of splinters."

"You bet." said Aleu. "But at least you're there to pull the splinters out." she said, nuzzling him with a smile.

"Four." said Aleu. "One like you, one like me, one with mixed up fur, and one that looked like a little Kodi."
