Jade helpped Luke wash off and got him back to shore. "There you go honey, go with Mara ok? I need to talk to Flower alone." she said. She turned to Flower. "Luke's father...he got killed, Luke doesn't know yet..." she whispered in Flower's ear.

Mara lead Luke back to the other, helping him along the way. "All cleam and stink-free!" she annouced as they neared the others
Onve Mara and Luke were out of ear-shot, Flower asked, "You haven't told him yet? When did it happen?"

Jade shooked her head. "I don't know how to tell him. When my owners took Luke out here to leave him, they took my mate out of earshot of Luke, he was asleep at the time, and...and shot him...three times, the first killed him, the last two were out of spite..." siad Jade breaking into tears. "How do I tell my baby boy his papa is gone?"

Luke looked Landstruck right in the eyes. He seemed to stare for a few minutes before smiling. "Winter, he's telling the truth." he said. "His eyes are diffrent than the females, he's telling the truth."

"Trust me," Landstruck barked. "I cna be a spy for your side."

Luke nodded. "My papa taugh me how." he said. "Could you trick them into looking into that den and getting sprayed by that skunk?" he asked. "That way we could smell them coming." he laughed but was partly serious.

Kira turned back to Wanderer and smiled back. "It's really nothing," she replied, scuffing her paws on the ground with a slight sigh. "I just pack a few extras just in case anybody really needs any help with the shunk problem."
As Josh left to go explore the area for a bit, Kita had saw Landstruck and sort of smiled, blushing slightly. "I think that sounds like a good idea!" she pipped, stepping into the small group. "We could definately use more spies for the pack."

Before Landstruck could answer Luke, Winterfall barked, "It would be a good idea but we need them to trust Landstruck."
Landstruck wasn't listening. He was looking at Kita and smiled.

"You're right," agreed Winterfall. "Let's do it."
Landstruck turned back to them. "It's not your tail ont ehline," he snapped. "But I'll do it." He wanted Winterfall's trust. After all, what cousin wouldn't? Naturally, Winterfall had no idea that they were related and Landstruck wouldlove ot keep it that way. As far as anyone knew, they were enemies with completly diffrent goals but they weren't. Not really.
