Heather struggled frantically as Tommy's hand came down on her mouth and he held her close. Her blood ran cold when he cooed to her in his toxic whisper. Heather found her hands being tied this time, she wanted to scream. They stuffed her in the car, Tommy's hand still over her mouth.

The van screeched and sped off. Nate tried to bolt after it but he couldn't keep up with a vehicle. He stood a moment, then grabbed his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed Atticus's number.

"Hello-"

"Oh my god Attie!" Nate yelped when Atticus finally answered.

"Nate? What the h*ll?! Are you okay?"

"No! No,no, no! Th-these guys- I-I mean, Heather.... Some guys just, like took Heather!"

"..."

"Atticus?!"

"I heard you! Nate stay where you are, don't do anything stupid!" Atticus ordered before hanging up.

Nate looked at his phone and shook his head "Stay here?!..." he looked up in the direction the van had gone. "Well well, seems like you've seen something you wan't spoused ta'..."

Nate whirled around and stumbled on his own feet, before falling to the ground. Standing before him was undoubtedly one of the men. Probably a look out, and he had seen Nate. "Oh crap..." Nate sighed rolling his eyes when the guy pulled a gun.

Heather shook frantically, looking Tommy square in the eyes. What would he do to her? Where would they take her? Where was Nate? Heather blinked sadly and looked at the floor of the car, she shook frantically and took long, dragging breaths of air.

The van pulled into a deserted allyway on the outskirts of town. Tommy had gone to sit up front with his friend when the other man said. "Hurry up Tom, remember what boss said... don't mess up!" he growled. Then the other man got out of the car, and Tommy walked back to Heather. He kneeled down infront of her and cupped her chin. Forcing her to look at him, "What's wrong, dear?" he asked softly, smiling sweetly, but with hidden menace.

Heather's stomach clenched and she blinked back tears, "W-What are you gonna' do to me?" She asked in a too calm and too steady voice.

Tommy chuckled and gently brushed her hair from her face, "It'd be best if you didn't know that..."


"You wouldn't shoot a kid, would ya?" Nate asked as the man walked closer.

"Nah' Kid, but I have to shoot a witness..."

"Oh Crap..." Nate huffed. "..W-where did they take her?..." he asked slowly.

"She's just Ghost bait..."

"Ghost? Like the killer?!"

"Yeah. It's okay kid, just close your eyes this won't hurt at all..." the man sneered.

Nate squeezed his eyes shut and there was a gunshot.... but a moment later, Nate opened his eyes and looked frantically around then back at the man with confusion. The man started at him blankly before suddenly collapsing, and behind him stood a new comer with a gun.... "Don't kill me!" Nate yelped.

"Shut up Nate..."

"Atticus?!" Nate blinked when the stranger came closer and revealed himself as Atticus, wearing a bulletproof vest and his sunglasses.

Heather lay on the cold floor of the van and looked at the black walls. Purple bruises painted her body, her hair was a tangled mass. Heather’s breathing was slow but ragged, she gulped and suppressed a shiver that was working its way up her spine. She hugged her chest tightly and felt small tears seep from her eyes.

Tommy pulled his shirt over his head and got out of the van making sure to slam the door.

"Took you long enough." his friend growled.

Tommy rolled his eyes, "Let's just go." he grumbled, "I think Ghost'll get our point." and with that the two men bolted off down the ally.



"So wait... you're Ghost?!" Nate asked as Atticus sped down the road in a sleek black camero. The car was too advanced for it's time, at the moment it was tracking Heather's cell phone and leading them to her. "And where'd you get this car?!"

"Yes Nate... I'm Ghost, and some clients made me this car when they couldn't pay me."

"But you drive a piece of sh*t mustang? Where do you keep this car?"

"You ask alot of questions..." the car screeched to a stop when they came across the van.

"Let's go-"

"No Nate! You stay here!"

"No... I wanna see if Heather's alright..." the boy said sternly and Atticus sighed. "Fine but stay behind me!" Then both got out and Atticus held his gun firmly while he moved cautiously toward the van. Nate trailed a few feet behind him and stopped when Atticus signaled for him to. Atticus gulped before grabbing the handle of the van and opening it quickly, blinking for a moment, then nearly falling to his knees when he saw her "Heather?!"

Heather's hands were still bound, she looked at his slighly, and that only increased the flow of tears from her eyes.

"Attie..." She said weakly, her voice on the edge of hysteria but too weak to sound strong. Heather wanted to sit up, but it hurt, it all hurt. Her head was pounding and her body ached.

Nate wanted to come closer but Atticus quickly looked at him "No! Stay there!"

Nate stopped and bit his lip but nodded.

Atticus quickly looked back at Heather, he climbed slowly into the van and untied her hands, his hands shaking with rage, but he didn't let it show.

Heather pulled her shirt on as soon as her hands were unbound. She put on her pants numbl and then looked at Atticus was the look a puppy would give someone at the pound. Tears were still in her eyes, and Tommy's dark, souless, eyes were still burned into the back of her mind.

Atticus had to blink away tears when he looked at her, he grabbed her and gently hugged her "Oh Heather..." he whimpered.

Heather gripped him tightly and sobbed, she closed her eyes tightly and felt herself shiver uncontrollably. Tommy had gotten what he wanted from her, and it had left her shattered.

"Shhh... Heather it's alright..." Atticus shushed, he hugged her tighter and gently rubbed her back. "T-they can't hurt you again, I'm here, I gotcha'..." he tried to comfort her, while he held her closely, and in a protective manner.

This only encouraged more tears and Heather gagged for her breath, "I-I wanna get out of this van." She managed, her voice low and choppy.
