"And I'm glad you did," said Goldie, leaning against Steele.


Anabelle nodded. "Yes, until I saw how your Father reacted to Eva." she said, giving a smile. "Then I knew it was going to work."

"After hearing about what could have been," said Goldie, looking up at Steele sweetly. "I'm so glad you took me in."


Anabelle chuckled. "No, it's still extremely confusing." she said. "Why do you think angels can only send people back a day?"

Goldie smiled wider, her tail wagging. "I'm glad you helped, my eyes were really starting to hurt." she said, rolling her shoulders. "But, on a more pressing manner: how long are you going to stay?" she asked, looking at Steele hopefully.


Anabelle blinked, thinking. "Maybe it was apart of the timeline that you go back and finish you know what off." she said, meaning The Outsider. "Maybe you were waiting for it."

Goldie lowered her head, whimpering. "I understand." she said glumly. "Bur we miss you, Fang and me." she said, looking at her paws.


Tai smiled, a little sad. She looked at Fang. "I wish your Dad would stay. I do, honestly, he's a really nice guy, and everyone should see that.0

Goldie sniffed and nuzzled Steele in return. "I know... But I wish I was selfish, so I could throw a fit abd you'd say, 'oh, sweetie, stop and I'll stay, just don't be upset anymore.' I know that that's not me, but I just wish I could see you more. I talk about you all the time." she said sadly, pressing her face into his fur.



Tai smiled and nodded. "I had a feeling. But according to your Dad he's doing better."

"I know, it's just a silly thought." said Goldie, keping her face buried inside Steele's fur.


Jenna smiled wide, and nuzzled her pups. "I'm glad you all liked it." she said


Blaze nodded and cuddled up to Jenna. "Yeah, it real good story Mama." she said abd rubbed her eyes with a yawn.

Derbin snuggled against Blaze, and let out a massive but cute yawn.

Tai nodded, and leaned against Fang. "I know, but at least your Dad isn't giving up on him. I think that's what Cain needs, not to be given up on."

Goldie smiled and snuggled into Steele, her tail blur behind her.


Anabelle grinned, looking at Steele happily. "Since it's Christmas, I'll tell you and Fang where Sable is." she said.


Tai nodded and grinned. "I can't believe I forgot that day." she said.


Jenna smiled, nuzzling her pups. "I think it's time for bed." she said, laying down and curling around her pups.

Goldie smiled and lay down. She yawned. "Do you still love Sable?" she asked quietly.

Anabelle nodded. She leaned in close, whspering. "She's between Juneau and Nome, still in the clearing the Ghost of Christmas Present showed you."

Tai nodded and rubbed an eye blearily. Kai yawned.


"I love you all too." said Jenna and licked each of her pups on the head.
