Maria smiled as she nuzzled her father back.
"Yes, I hear voices," Canyon said, listening harder for them. "They seem to have stopped."

Aleu reared her head back and howled.
Balto heard his daughter and howled back, telling her where they were. He smiled. "She's closer."

"That way." said Aleu to her mate, smiling. "You'll love my family." she said. "I can't wait for you to meet my papa." she said, still calling her father that despite being an adult, it was just what she liked to call him. She'd told Canyon a lot about her father's heroics, and how great a father he was.

Canyon smiled at his mate. "I'm looking forward to meeting the dog that saved all of Nome," she said.

Aleu saw her family finally. "There they are!" she yelled, happy. She ran towards her family but slipped and slammed into Kodi. "Oops, sorry bro."

"S'kay," Kodi said with a chuckled. He nuzzled his sister. "It's good to see you again."
"Aleu!" Maria called as she bounded over to her older sister. She tackled her to the ground and licked her cheek. She was much bigger since the last time Aleu had seen her.
Canyon walked in and sat down on the outskirts of the family reunoin, not wanting to be a bother.
