Jade coughed a little, her paw over her nose. "Yeah, the worse thing is unless you know where we can find some wild tomatos, we're all going to have to suffer this until the skunk spray wears off." she said.
Luke coughed and hacked, his eyes watering. "PU...sorry Mara." he said, trying not to breath through his nose. He looked at Winter. "Yeah, just stinky."

Mara tried to tell Luke it was okay, but she coughed instead. It really did smell bad.
"Will a bath help at all?" Flower asked Jade, her paws covering her nose too.

Jade shook her head. "No, actuelly water only adds the wet dog smell to it, tomato juice is the only thing that can get it off." she said, coughing. "But water can get it out of their eyes, if it get in them it burns your eyes. Ether of your get it in your eyes?"
Luke shook his head no. It hadn't got in his eyes but his nose was burning from the stench, he couldn't cover it cause of his broken leg.

"This happens to me a lot, its Mara I'm sorry for getting caught up in my bad luck." said Luke, coughing.
Jade watch the skunk head back into its den. "I'd suggest you remember the hole with the skunk in it." she said, her voice muffed from covering her nose. "Hey Winter, want to set up that pack that's after you to meet that skunk?" she asked, laughing a little.

Kira just sort of laughed as she watched the the poor pups get sprayed with the yucky skunk stench. He then sighed as she smiled and turned to Wanderer, nodding her head. "I'll be fine, I guess," she replied, playfully winking. Then she just shook her head as she went behind some bushes as she pulled out a few tomatoes. "I've actually been down this way many times," she added, setting down the tomatoes in front of the young pups. "I should've warned you about that skunk, but I always collect a few tomatoes, just in case."

Jade nodded to Winter. "Alright, we'll have to figure out how to do that." she said before looking to Kira. "Thank goodness, we'd better take some with us, Luke will probably get into this mess again." she said. "Got something to put the poor dears in so we can wash them with the tomatos?" Jade coughed, still holding her nose against the terrible smell.

Flower stepped forward started to squish the tomatoes so the pups could roll around in them. "Thanks Kira." She smiled at her. "This will do for now," she said to Jade.
As soon s her mother had stopped, Mara rolled around the tomatoes as fast as she could. When she was sure the smell was gone, she got up out of the juice. "Now I'm all red," Mara complained.
"Come on, you two," Flower said. "I'll take you down to the creek to wash it off."

Kira sort of smiled back as she watched the pups roll aroundin the tomato juice. Then she nodded back to Jade and Flower before she sighed and turned back to the mountains, feeling that the lake that she was seeking was more than near enough. "It's close," she murmured. "I can feel it!"

"I'll help you." Flower rubbed her paws in ths tomatoes and then through the pups fur until the stench had subsided. "Now lets wash you to off." She and Mara helped Luke to the small creek.

Jade followed her pup after taking in a deep breath. She helped Flower move him. "That better sweetie?"
Luke chuckled and licked his mom. "Yeah, I don't like being stinky, what about you Mara?" he asked.

"It's disgusting," she grumbled. "And I don't like being red either." She wadded into the creek and let the water wash the juice from her fur. She got back onto land and shook off the water, her coat clean and not stinky. "That's better."
Flower smiled at her daughter.
