Kisasi told her everything that happened while he licked his wounds and pulled the rest of the thorns from his pelt. "I hope they didn't follow us here." Kisasi said, thinking out loud.

Kisasi settled down to sleep for the night. He lay in the dark for hours before he finally fell asleep.

Kisasi sat up and smiled. He pushed all the events from the previous day to the back of his mind and started grooming himself. Once he finished grooming himself, he padded over to Hatima and helped her groom a spot on her back that she couldn't reach.

Kisasi shook his head in agreement as he gazed out of the cave entrance, deep in thought. He was thinking about the lionesses they had met the previous day. What if they are still in our territory? He thought. If they are, we need to get them out as soon as possible. They could be a danger to the cubs. At the thought of his cubs, he glanced over at Hatima. A purr started in his chest when he realized that Hatima's stomach was starting to bulge a little, showing signs of the unborn cubs.

Kisasi grinned at Hatima. "I can't wait," he whispered back. He stood and stretched, giving Hatima's head a lick. "Well I am going for a hunt, anyone want to come with me?"

"Alright," Kisasi said, gazing down at Hatima. "Just get some rest, we'll be back soon." Kisasi padded out of the cave with Karani. "He stopped when he was certain that Hatima could not overhear them. "Alright, before we hunt, I want to go back to where we met the lionesses yesterday. I want to make sure they left our territory because if the haven't, they could be a threat to the cubs."
