Rue want inside and got the rabbit, bringing it out. "Here," she said.

"Alright. Can you make a fire? I don't really know how." She glanced around uncertainly.

"Sure, as long as you help look for some sticks and two rocks," she said

Setsuko shrugged. "Ok." She lifted two rock off the ground. Both where large, but not enormous, and had round, but mostly flat, if you will, surfaces. "Here you go." She handed the stones to Rue and then trotted off into the woods to find some sticks. Not a problem. Loose branches where easily shaken from old trees. She carried the pile back to the cabin. "How's that?" She asked.

"Perfect, thanks," Rue said, smiling at Setsuko. She took the pile, laying it out on the ground and kneeling beside it. She arranged it in a pyramid, the loose leaves used as kindling, along with some tufts of grass. When it was finsihed, she examined her work. Satisfied, she began knocking the two stones together, a spark lazily floating downwards after two strikes. It sputtered out before lighting the small pile, and she tried again. Soon a blaze was roaring.

Setsuko smiled. "Excellent." Her smile disappeared into confusion. "Now, what will we use to cook the rabbit? If we use our hands, we'll get burned." Setsuko herself had never been burned, but she'd seen people who have been. When she visited the Fire Nation, she saw many people with burns from training accidents. Worst of all was that of Fire Lord Zuko, Wayra's father. It was a serious burn that stretched across one side of his face, including over his eye. That eye was permanently half-shut. Setsuko knew that nothing that bad could result from a campfire, but nonetheless, she was not too keep to get burned.

"WE peel the bark off the stick, then stick the rabbit on that and roast it over the fire," she explained, pulling out a pocketknife that she always carried. She whitted off the bark, leaving a clean, pale stick. "See?" she asked, turning to Setsuko.

"Ok..." Said Setsuko, a bit annoyed at the way Rue had explained it. She knew how to cook things, it's just that she'd never done it out in the woods before, without bringing supplies from home. She decided to let Rue cook today...she had never cooked rabbits herself, she had only helped her mother cook fish or stew. Jaci, who ate pretty much everything raw, being a blue lion, moaned in impatience. "It's ok, Jaci," Setsuko chided. "You can wait."

Rue heard the slight annoyance in her voice, bit dismissed it, her attention focusing on the slowly sizzling rabbit.

Setsuko sat on the ground, watching Rue work. She stared into the flames, which began to bring back memories. She sighed inwardly, remembering sitting like this with her mother back at home. If only she could do that now! But perhaps tomorrow's visit to the Caverns of Life would fix everything.

"What do you think'll happen? When we go in THe Caverns of Light" Rue asked, striking up conversation as she stared at the slowly cooking rabbit, her brown gaze sometimes flickering to watch the fiery colored flames dance, flickering and twisting, sparks shooting out every so often, then falling light down, sputtering out before hitting the ground.

Setsuko shrugged. "I don't know. But I think we need to avoid looking into the glow-y tunnels. Last time, when I did that, this feeling just came over me. It was scary." She recalled the eerie glow that has made contact with her eyes, overtaking her mind. Was there any way that those tunnels...no, that was impossible. Mind control wasn't possible. But then again, Setsuko was dealing with a whole new world...who knew what lurked in those caves.

"Okay. No looking in tunnels," Rue agreed. She checked the rabbit, turning her mind away from the thoughts of the cave purposely. "I think it's almost done," she said satisfactorly, the scent of the rabbit hitting her nose, making her mouth water.

"That's good. I don't think this little animal could stand another second." Setsuko nudged Jaci playfully. The Blue Lion emitted a soft hiss of annoyance. Setsuko giggled to herself.

Rue let out a small laugh at Jaci's annoyance. She pulled the rabbit away from the fire, blowing on it gently to cool it.
