Biddy sat on the living room couch, staring at her phone and debating calling Shay again. She stood up, paced a bit, and began to dial that number. Then, she spotted Shay standing outside by the driveway. Biddy marched outside, her phone discarded on the table stand. "Shailynn! Why are you out there when you should be inside already?!" Biddy shouted.

Biddy sighed. "Yeah, alright. Just come inside, please. It's getting late."

Biddy returned to her seat on the couch where her unfinished homework lay. There wasn't much work to be done, but there was a lot of school supplies she needed to get at the store tomorrow or the next day. She tried to picked up her pencil again, but still had trouble concentrating. She finally came out and asked, "Alright, Shay. I promise not to yell or anything, but please tell me where you have been all day."

Biddy tapped her pencil on her new school book, waiting for Shay's answer. She glanced at her sister, wondering why she was being so quiet for so long. Usually Shay was much more talkative than this.

Bic:// "Oh, thats right," Biddy said, recalling her previous conversation with Shay over the phone. "You were out with that boy. Does this guy at least have a name?"

"Hmm, that's not a name you here every day," Biddy muttered softly. "So, where'd you two go?"

Biddy nodded, not knowing what else to say that wasn't scolding. It was really irresponsible for Shay to disappear like that, but Biddy was too tired to go through with talking about that. Instead, she simply said, "Are you at least going to go to school tomorrow?"

Rose nodded and began to pack up her school bag, her work still unfinished. "Well, then, I guess I'll see you in the moring," she said as she stood from the couch and headed toward her bedroom.
