Nightstar padded towards the Fighter's den, walking with only a slight limp due to her stiff hind leg. She crawled in and curled up to rest.

Silversnow curled up near Nightstar, the familiar scent of the Fighter's den washing over her. She was soon fast asleep again, soft snores echoing around the den as she slept.

Nightstar woke up later in the day. A strong shaft of sunlight shone through into the den...she guessed it was already passed sunhigh. She stood slowly, balancing cautiously on three paws. "You're gonna need to put some weight on that leg if you want it to heal." Nightstar whipped around, surprised to see Boulder standing at the entrance. "Sorry," She said awkwardly. "But I thought I'd need to take it easy so it can heal...?" "That depends on the severity of the injury." Boulder explained. "Yours wasn't too bad. You should be walking again as soon as possible."

Silversnow opened her green eyes as she heard Nightstar and Boulder's voice filling the den. She yawned, struggling to sit up, her mind still hazy from sleep.

Nightstar's ear twitched as she heard Silversnow shuffle to her paws. She turned to greet her friend as Boulder left. "Hey Silversnow. Sleep well?"

"Uh huh. You?" Silversnow asked, stifling another yawn.

"I guess," Nightstar replied, ear twitching. "So, um. Boulder says we need to start walking around if we want to heal. Wanna go on a walk? We could go near the mountainside stream, the one that leads to Tribe of the East territory." She glanced out of the den.

Silversnow stood up, the muscles of her injured back knotted and sore. She stretched, trying to work the stiffness from her silver and white limbs. Stifling another yawn, she looked at her friend with bright, green eyes. "Sure," she smiled.

"Alright," Nightstar concluded. "Let's go." She trotted slowly out of the den, wincing as she put her weight on her injured leg.

Silversnow limped only slightly as the tender flesh stretched. She followed Nightstar,slightly behind her until she sped up her pace slightly. She was soon beside her friend, a comfortable silence filling the air between them.

Boulder was right, Nightstar realized. By the end of the day, her leg felt just fine. She still had a slight limp; however, that too disappeared by the next morning...when Nightstar was assigned on the Morning Patrol, just as Eninai had asked of her and Silversnow. "Ready for our first patrol?" Nightstar asked. ear twitching.

Silversnow was only a bit sore, and was eager for the patrol, despite the rather early hours. "Yep," she said, stretching gently.

Wait a moment...first patrol? Thought Nightstar. We went on our first patrol a few days ago! She shook her head to clear it. The battle with Tribe of the South must have dazed her memory.

Silversnow was unaware of the slip-up, mostly having heard patrol and ready. Her green eyes blinked and she looked at Nighstar. "Coming?" she asked, one paw already out of the den.

"Yeah, of course," Agreed Nightstar. "Do you know who's leading it?"
