I do have plans for a fanfic focusing on Arrow in the future, but I'm somewhat in the dark as to what goes on with girls as they grow up (being a man with no sisters, I am at best a very distant observer and nothing more). So a series may or may not happen, it all depends. But she'll be back, don't you worry.

Toby: Uh, Mom? Dad? I now you're excited, but I think the question was for Pete.
Terry and Rex: (blushing) Sorry.
Pete: Uh, thanks. (takes a deep breath) Well, I'm glad they think I'm doing such a great job. And to answer your question, I'm treating them the way I guess I shoulda' all this time. I said sorry to Mom, and to Rex too. Dad may be gone, but he'll always be my real dad anyway. But as a stepdad, Rex does a pretty good job. I think he and Dad would have gotten along, so I figure he's worth a chance.
Rex: I trust that was a complement?
Terry: Take my word for it, it's as close as I've heard from him in years.

So Toby, what would you of done if he had tourtured you?

Dragon Tamer: So which Toby character do you think you relate to the most?

Toby: Well, I guess it would have depended on how he did it. Probably he would have tried talking me to death, so I guess I would have just avoided him like usual.


Dragon Tamer: Hmm, good question. I'd like to say someone other than Toby because that's such an obvious answer, but I think I'd have to choose him anyway. His life reads kind of like mine in some ways. He was crazy as a puppy, same as I was as a kid, he's still a little crazy sometimes, like I am, and crazy or not he always manages to get himself in trouble somehow.

Dragon Tamer: What or who inspired you to start writing?

Toby: Honestly, we don't know. We figure it was a tree branch, but it would have been pretty loud to reach there because there are no trees close to Pete's house. That and the timing... I don't have a clue. Could have been anything from dumb luck to someone upstairs looking out for him.


Dragon Tamer: Well, writing in general was something I always enjoyed doing. As for the Toby series, it was a couple of things. When I first came on here, I didn't have a whole lot of ideas for dog stories, so I thought I would just read and review other people's stuff. Then two things happened, and I can't remember exactly what order they were in for sure. I think what happened first was I read redwolf03's fanfics, and those kind of struck a chord with me. Then I remembered some books I'd been writing about dragons and other fantasy creatures, and I thought, "What if I took my dragons and turned them into dogs?" So the Toby series came about as sort of an experiment, and I think it's safe to say the experiment was a booming success.
