What if that's it? What if I'm hated? I mean, Charlie was even willing to joke about me probably having cancer.

Zak watched Zero out of the corner of his eye, and when he saw Zero starting to get really nervous he put a paw on the younger dog's shoulder. "Zero, outside with me a moment?" He asked calmly. Zero was snapped out of his train of thought then looked at Zak, nodding.

Zak hopped out of the booth and Zero followed, both going outside. They stayed out of the way of the door so people could go in. "Talk to me." Zak said.

Zero was silent a moment. The other three could see the two, but not hear them. "I just... I feel Charlie may hate me. I dunno if it would be a little or a lot if he does..." Zak gave a small nod that said to continue. "He always finds something I'm doing wrong, or picks at something, even if its my own choice, and even worse when its you giving suggestions." The three indoors could see Zero's face drop in sadness if they were looking.

Charlie got out of the booth and crawled of Itchy. "Enough's, enough" he said storming out the door to yell at Zak.

Zak heard the door open, but didn't mind to much because people were going in and out. "I don't think he hates you at all Zero. I dunno why he questions almost everything you do but Charlie doesn't hate you. We're both looking out for you, but it's just different methods. He may seem a bit insulting at times but he would never hate you. Otherwise, why would he let you continue on this venture?"

Zero was looking at the ground, so he didn't realize it was Charlie either. "I dunno..."

"I'm sorry but you're the one that puts the thoughts into his brain. I don't hate Zero and never will. I was just joking around with the pup that's all."

"Charlie, I never put thoughts into his brain. He told me how he was feeling in there, with no manipulation whatsoever, so you don't need to come out thinking you know what's going on." Zak said calmly, still looking at Zero. The teenage dog stayed silent, feeling ashamed now that Charlie was out there with them.

"Fine, if you wanna talk to him, go ahead. Since obviously I have no right whatsoever according to you since you barged in our conversation when I was trying to help." Zak growled, walking by Charlie back inside.

Don't leave me alone with him! Zero thought desperately, but the door shut behind Zak. He stared at the floor so he wouldn't have to look up at Charlie.

"Zero do you hate me?"
