Mighty is right in what she said. Further, both characters, in the end, did the right thing. But of the two, Aleu was the brat. Kodi was simply a pushover initially...swayed by pressure from his team members to do what the group wanted. In the end, after considering things (and with a nudge or two from both his parents), he followed his conscience and did the right thing. It's clear enough from that scene in the boiler room, where Balto confronts the team, that Kodi doesn't really believe any of that stuff he ends up saying to his father, but that he's knuckling under to pressure from Kirby, Ralph and even Dusty.

Ok But I still hate Both and Both Sequals.

Aleu was just a whiny, annoying character who disrepected her father and refused to accept her heritage yet she still was chosen as the leader of a wolf pack, which is propably the main reason I've never been too fond of her.

Kodi, however was proud of his job, and possibly got a little too carried away with it, and, like Mighty said, lost sight of what was important. Still he came through in the end and did the right thing, also during the movie he was shown to have a very close bond with both his father and mother, UNLIKE Aleu who seemed to have no relantionship with Jenna whatsoever. And that's why Kodi would have to be my favorite out of the two. Thank you.

While I don't care much about Aleu and I still think she can be made out to be an acceptable character (fan universe is a miracle), I dislike the fact that everything went so easy to her in the movie. She ran away for stupid reasons and except "accepting herself", she didn't get any better life lesson (like Kodi did). She was always rather an individual, probably too inexperienced in the wild as well, and I think it was a big mistake to make her a pack leader. I mean, I don't think she ever led a hunt or even hunted a big animals herself, nor she has any idea how to do it. And she didn't really do anything for gaining other pack members' respect. she was basically made a leader because Nava said so.
And agreed, I just hate her voice...

I agree with some things you guys say, yet those things shouldn't make you completely hate her.

I'm not really sure why she is so hated by Balto fans to be honest. :/ I didn't see anything wrong with her. I've watched Balto 2 a couple of times, and guess what, I wound up loving both Aleu and Wolf Quest. Aleu really wasn't all that bad, She was way better then Kodi, and Balto 2 was just better the Balto 3, and I tried watching Balto 3 again, I didn't even make it half way through the movie and I shut it off. Please don't make me change my opinion, because I have the right to my own, and I respect everyone else's opinion.

I think the reasons that everyone has listed pretty much sums up why some Balto fans dislike Aleu x'D I'm not saying that people shouldn't like her, because, like you said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I see why people do like her, and why others (like me) don't, and that's fine by everyone.

I can understand that, It just Irks me to see Kodi get all of the love, when in my opinion he was not any better the Aleu.

I agree, Balto had some pretty awesome kids if you ask me x'D Yeah, I get what you mean, they were pretty much both the same, except Kodi did change his attitude a little towards the end of the movie C;

My personal problem with this type of characters is that they have no preconditions for drama and hardship, what their parents already had, and what their parents have overcome.Their whining "Who am I? I'm different from others! Nobody likes or understand me!" is just annoying and is so forced.
Especially, when you realise that Aleu is the only one pup, who is the almost copy of the town's hero, her father, who saved Nome and kids from death (everyone would desire to adopt exactly Aleu, rather her red siblings). Plus, due to her blue eyes, light greyish and white fur with a slight orange tint, she is more looks like a dog, NOT a wolf.

In the original film Balto saved children, he is a hero, he embraced his wolf nature and accepted himself as a wolf, he reborn after the meet with the White Wolf, he became confident. In the first movie, Jenna was a badass, 'cause she kicked not only Steele's butt, but also she saved Balto from the grizzly bear. Such parents would teach their children to overcome the difficulties, to be confident, and say that they should be proud of their wolf heritage, because that is a strength, not a weakness.

In the sequel instead, Balto once again ashamed of his wolf heritage, he feels hatred to the wolf side and hides it from his puppies. And Aleu has absolutely the same cliche problems (and copies the original film). And how, before the meet with a hunter, she did not understand that she is part wolf, if Balto said several times that many dogs still mock him because of his wolf heritage for unknown reason? Moreover, she's completely inexperienced, has never lived among the wolves, not knowing life, weak and helpless, but magically she became the leader of the pack due to the vague prophecy and "destiny". It's just stupid. Much fairer and realistic it would be, I think, if she found a human with similar personality like her (guy or girl), who was also an active and freedom-loving traveler who loves wildlife and is interested in the Native Alaskan myphology (totem spirits etc), and who'd adopt Aleu as a companion.
