"Don't worry, I will," Sadie assured him. Despite the shock, the pups appeared to be asleep, or at least still. Exhaustion must've taken it's toll on them again.

Ooc:// I hope you don't mind I put that...I was at a blank of what to post, and it would explain their silence.

"After that fight they probably need it more than ever before. So, yeah, let them sleep," Sadie said, a motherly look moving into her eyes.

"How could they have missed it?" Sadie asked softly, a melancholy edge suddenly appearing in her now husky voice. Suddenly, she felt her eyes prick and heat up, a sure sign that tears would be soon to follow. "I-It was horrible, Rio! It brought back so many memories....all the times Ai-" she broke off, unable to finish. Tears were now freely flowing, making her fur flatten and press against the skin underneath. This was a shock, as she rarely ever cried...it took a lot to make her show her emotions as she did now. But the small fight was like pulling a rug out from underneath Sadie; it sent her toppling down, and it would be a struggle to get back up without someone to lean on.

Sadie struggled to stop crying, slightly embarrassed. Eventually it slowed, until there was only the stains on her cheeks and wetness in her eyes left, followed by the occasional sniff. "I-I know," she said shakily, her voice hoarse from the outpour of unexpected emotion. "Thank you, Rio."

Sadie nodded, her emotions quickly returning to normal. "I'll keep watch to make sure. You go ahead and fall asleep. You'll need the rest in order to heal quicker."

Sadie shifted slightly, in order to get a better view. It seemed that Grant was asleep, or just limp, and the pups were still too.

"Rio!" Sadie cried out, roused from her dazed, exhausted state by his tears and murmurs. "I'm here, Rio. It was nothing but a nightmare," she whispered, her tone comforting, if a bit startled. She bent down, gving him a light lick, a sign of affection, comfort, and their close bond.
