"Who was that other wolf?" Silversnow asked, her back stinging and aching as she spoke. She felt a bit light-headed, but tried to ignore it, her paws staying steady. "Although I think I might be able to guess..." she said.

Nightstar twitched an ear with annoyance. "Just another Tribe of the North wolf." She retorted as calmly as possible. "I didn't see who he or she was." She picked her words carefully, but still spoke fluently enough to pass for honesty.

Silversnow felt like rolling her eyes, but stopped. Nightstar sounded honest enough anyway. "Whatever," she said.

Relief washed over Nightstar when Silversnow seemed convinced. "So," She said, "Should we go see Boulder? This scratch on my leg is really bothering me, and I think I might need something for shock. That one wolf almost killed me!" She shuddered, and then began to limp over to the Healer's den.

Silversnow followed her friend, her limping stride almost the same as Nightsar's as she tried to avoid stretching the deep bite on her pack.

"More injuries?" The healer croaked as Nightstar and Silversnow entered the den. "Those Tribe of the South Fighters must have put up quite a fight! There weren't very many of them. But then again, you two are both young wolves." He retreated farther back into the den to fetch some healing herbs. "Eat the poppy seed and lay down, I'll get to work fixing your wounds." He instructed as he returned with a bundle of leaves and seeds. Nightstar lay down obediently, glad to give her paws some rest, and licked up a few of the small black seeds. "Thank you, Boulder," She said, bowing her head respectfully.

"Yes, thank you," Silversnow said, lying down on the den floor obediently, wincing again as she did so. Her aching paws were glad for the rest though, along with most of her other muscles.

"All in the job," Boulder replied curtly. He began to chew up and apply the herbs to the wolves' wounds. Nightstar stiffened for a moment, for the herb juice stung, but she relaxed as the injury began to feel better.

As Boulder moved to tend to Silversnow, she stiffened momentarily, the large bite marks along her back burning momentarily. It started to numb after that, and she relaxed her battle-sore muscles

Nightstar sighed; the poppy seeds made her sleepy. Forgetting she was still in the Healer's den, she drifted off into a soft snooze.

Silversnow's drowsiness caused by her own poppy seeds was increased as she saw Nightstar sleep. She slowly shut her green eyes, the ache in her back fading as she drifted off into sleep.

Nightstar awoke later, yawning. Wait, she wasn't in the Fighters' Den, where was sh--oh. I must have fallen asleep in the Healer's Den, she thought. She stretched he injured leg. I was a bit stiff, but it didn't hurt. She prodded Silversnow. "Hey, Silversnow! Wake up; we fell asleep in Boulder's den," She whispered in her friend's ear.

Huh?" Silversnow mumbled sleepily. She opened a hazy green eye, starting to actually wake up as she yawned. She looked aorund, remembering the fight.

"We fell asleep in Boulder's den...too many poppy seeds," Nightstar repeated. "Come on, your wounds should be well enough to walk, we need to move back to the Fighter's den."

"Okay," Silversnow managed to say as she yawned again. She stood up, feeling only a dull pang as she did.
