Matt couldn't stay mad for long, the 'puppy eyes' look was just too cute.

ooc: grrr, curse of the dreaded writers block.

Madden tripped over his paws a few times as he looked up at the unconcious pup on Kayla's shoulders. He turned to see Buck and ran over to him, rose up onto his hind paws and nuzzled his graying muzzle before turning back and running over to Kayla and Matt. He figured out how to walk and watch the new pup at the same time and followed the two wolves.

Surge slowly padded after everyone, as he looked at Buck, he relized that he wasn't to young himself, his paws and muzzle, shoulders, and hips becoming flecked with gray fur. He looked down at Madden and Liam. One of them would make a great leader after Fang. He contiuned walking back to camp.

Buck smiled then chuckled slightly at little Madden, he then followed Matt and Kayla, keeping a close eye on Madden and Liam.

"Is Naomi comming?" Kayla asked. She looked around to make sure all the pups were still in her sight. She shifted the pup on her back. "We need to get him some were he can lay down but we can watch the pups. Unless you know a place to lay down can you help me think of a way to keep them all in one place. Or something they can doto HELP with the puppy?" Kayla nudged the limp paw of the unconsious wet pup with her nose. "Tell them I need help keeping him warm." She shivered still a bit cold herself. "Please Matt?"

Matt nodded in reply then turned to the puppies. "You could use my parents' old cave, no-one in the pack has ever set foot in there since they died..in a horrible cliff accident." Said Matt, his head lowered slightly and his facial expression softened when he mentioned his parents. "Buck can watch over the puppies and I could help, looking after the puppies, checking up on you and the pup and guarding you guys at night." He added.

Surge walked over "I may be getting old but im not usless, i can help too." Madden jumped up and down "ME TO ME TO!"

Liam walked around, tail between his legs, whimpering for his mommy or daddy. His ears drooped lower than usual, and his dark green eyes were glazed and looking up at Kayla, Matt, and Buck.

Buck lowered his head so it was level with Liam. "Don't be sad kiddo, we're just looking after you guys so that your parents can rest, it's not like you'll never see them again." Said Buck, trying to comfort the little puppy. Matt nudged Buck in the side and muttered in his ear. "Buck, that's not helping, just mentioning 'never see them again' might make the kid even more upset, even though you tried to phrase it to be comforting."

Surge chuckled and bent his head down "Come on Liam, im still family. Im your dad's dad. But they will be back soon, their just going out on a little adventure and might bring you back a suprise!" He smiled at the pup and licked his head, his own tail wagging.

Madden mannaged to climb up onto Kayla's back and wrapped his bug fuzzy body around the pup to help keep him warm.

Liam nodded and sat down with a bump, like all puppies do. He wondered where they were gonna go, and when they'll get back.

Kayla found the den and a nice spot to lay down the pup. "Allright every one inside and we'll all play a game." She thought a moment. Completly new to this she turned to matt "I don't know any pupy games!" She licked the little pup who was still unconcious. "Wher's Naomi?" She asked.

Ooc:// The RPer who plays Naomi hasn't posted.

"Hey I know a game, how 'bout we play 'Hunt the Caribou'? It's a mix of 'hide and seek' and 'tag'. One of us has to be the Caribou, and the rest of us have to be the wolf pack, this is how it works: The caribou has to go and hide and the wolf pack has to go and find the caribou, after they find the caribou, the caribou has to run. The caribou gets a ten second head start and then the wolf pack chases after the caribou." Explained Matt.

Madden's ears perked up, he wanted to play but he refused to leave the new pup. (aww big brother like!)

Surge laughed and nodded at Matt "Nice game." He growled playfully and jumped on Matt "I volunteer you as the caribou." he laughed, hoping that the pups would join in if they saw the adults messing around

Buck laughed and then looked down at Madden, who seemed reluctant to leave the pup. "He'll be alright as long as Kayla keeps him warm. Have some fun Madden, be a pup and not a parent, you still have a long way to go, so have fun in that time." Said Buck, he then chuckled, how silly adults looked when they played.

Matt chuckled. "Alright, I'll be the caribou." Said Matt as he went off to hide.
