"Momma, do you ever get scared?" asked Tiga, as if she'd be suprised to hear a yes.
Balto smiled. "I'm glad you feel safe with your papa Copper." he said. "Blazer, promise me if I'm not with your sisters for any reason, you'll be a brave pup for them, promise?"

"I don't want to." said Tiga. "I don't want to see you or papa or uncle Steele scared." she said, tucking her tail between her legs. "If you were scared then something would be very wrong cause your grown ups and grown ups aren't supposed to get scared easy."
Balto smiled at Blazer and nuzzled him. "You're my brave little pup, that's for sure."

Tiga smiled to her momma. "I love you momma." she said. Not paying attention to her path, she slipped and her rear end fell in a hole. She jumpped up, yelpping in pain, her rear end full of porrcupine quils. She ran around behind Jenna yelping and peeked at the hole, seeing the Porcupine look out and return to its sleep. She looked at Jenna. "Momma..." she moaned, showing her quiled rear and pain induced tears in her eyes.
Balto nodded to Blazer but flinched when he heard Tiga yelp. He looked. "Poor Tiga." he muttered.

"I brought disinfectent stuff." said Fang.
Tina started crying. "It hurts momma!" Tomboy or not, she was still just a baby.

Tiga yelpped as Balto helpped Steele pulled out the quils. She relaxed once all the quils were out. "Thank you." she said. "Still sore though." she whimpered. "But at least the quils are gone." she said.
Balto chuckled. "Make sure to be careful Tiga." he said. "Don't want to have to do it again."
