Rosa smiled and repeated the word again. "hun-GRyyy..." her face widened and closed with her enunciation, hoping Rex laughed a little.

Rosa smiled broadly, laying down and placing Rex on her chest. "So close!" she said, repeating the word once more. "Hungrrry!" she said it, once more, slowly.

Yuki nodded, leaning down to gather up a small clump of little white flowers as they passed onto a dirt road. She dusted them off and held them close to her chest. "Thank goodness Lady Husake managed to convince her Lord-Husband of letting Tera teach Rosa."

Yuki thought long, and then smiled. "Ah! Four years ago, the Lord of the house and Lady Husake had found a wandering stranger entering the village. Of course, that was Tera, who said she was a teacher and a scholar. Rosa had wandered in, being about 14 at the time, following Tera's scent, which she instantly liked. She was allowed to stay to hear her fate, but the Lord would not allow his daughter to be taught." Yuki straightened her shoulders and looked about in a serious manner. "'A woman is not to be learned. A woman of nobility is to be a bride then a Mother.'. Those were his exact words. Well, Lady Husake comforted Rosa when she started to cry, and reminded her Husband that she was very well educated, having been a Priestess since she was 10. After much arguing on both parts she finally convinced the Lord of the house-albeit begrudgingly-to teach his daughter. Tera started right away..." she smiled with a light laugh. "From what I've heard Rosa didn't get a lot of it, and she was getting frustrated until Tera calmed her down enough and made those special candles."
Rosa smiled. "Close, little one." she thought about what he was trying to say and grinned. "Goo-dah Guurl..."

Suzuku nodded. "I see, and at what point did he discover Tera is a ninja?" he asked. "I was suprised when I found out." he said. "Samurai and ninja don't normally get along but that's more due to profession than actual hatred." he said. "Often ninja are hired by those wishing to kill samurai but if both are hired by the same person, they can do it."
Good girl? said Rex, smiling.
