Kodi smiled. "What Mother wouldn't be proud of their cihldren's success?" he looked at his own mother, and realized how lucky he really was.

Jenna nodded. "I have to face facts, I was wrong about you," She chuckled "Sled running has got to be in your blood." she gave a soft smile.

Kai laughed. "Change scares me, Cachen...i'll tell you that much. I'm very frightened by things that aren't familiar to me." he was fine with telling his little brother, since Cachen could open up to him.

Tai nodded, looking at her sister. "Naw, you're right...you're much prettier than I am." she said sincerely.

Charlie smiled, checking the dogs heartrates and breathing, his heart sinking.

"I knoe." Jenna said with sympathy in her eyes. She did know how it must feel, to never know your Father well. "But your pups know you, and i'm glad they do."

Kai gave a grim face. "Ugh, didn't that guy lose one of his eyes?!" he asked, his facial features almost seeming to darken.

Tai nodded. "Yea, guys really go for a fast girl, Lena. They want a cute dog, not agility!"

Kodi nodded lightly. "Do you remember what she looks like? When Katie wakes up, maybe she can think if she's met your Mom before" he said

Charlie nodded. 'I know, but Lena, she's like my daughter. That must sound insane by now but..." he shook his head.

Jenna grinned "you think it was any easier on me?!" she said in a surprised tone. "They were my pups, Balto, I wanted them to be with me forever."

Kai nodded, giving a light shiver. "Buggh! I know. I guess that's where I got most of my fighting skills."

"You know she'd love to help you out like that." Kodi said, beaming with pure joy.

Tai nodded. "Sure...heh," she tried to chuckle, but looked down a moment.

Charlie nodded, standing up. "I know, they're definately special."

Jenna looked away, ears going back gently at the subject of her own family. "Um...Do I NEED to answer??" she asked

Kai sighed as she looked at his little brother. "Well, climate change I can handle. It's changing from wolf...to dog in an instant. Some points, I want to be running around, free. Other times, I just want a nice fire. Scares me like crazy."

Tai nodded, giving a soft chuckle. "Yea...sorry for that, I guess I'm kinda jealous at how beautiful you are. You don't need an explination to be pretty..."

Kodi beamed for a moment. "Than we have to make sure to find then hm?" he cocked his head slightly before ducking under a branch.

Charlie's mind wandered back to his pup, and to those big pleading eyes that wanted a human's love. "She's so different than what she looks like. She looks like a wolf, but acts like a dog,"

"It's not that at all!" Jenna exclaimed "I don't mean to make you feel bad, Balto... It's just a bit embarassing for me, I haven't seen any of my brothers in such a long time." she mumbled slightly.

Kodi nodded. "I think I'd say the same thing in your position, Fang." he tried to understand as best he could, he knew Katie would have somewhat understood.

Kai nodded. "But that's..." he blushed "That's never happened to me before." his eyes stayed away from his brother's.

"I remeber you growling at me for protecting you, too." Tai shrugged. "Hm, I could be totally wrong."

"She didn't seem like such a bad pup to me." said Charlie, putting on a pair of gloves.

Jenna laughed, shaking her head. "Lucky, I have nine brothers." she gave a roll of her eyes.

Kodi smirked, keeping his voice low for Lena's sake. "Hey, you'll have Tai, and she's just as good as her mother." he laughed a good moment.

"It must be the leftover dog that I didn't get." Kai chuckled lightly.

"That is something I'm not proud of." Tai turned beet red as she thought back, how she thought it was all her fault.

Charlie nodded. "I know," he murmured.

Balto's eyes went wide. "Nine?!"

OOC: What's wrong?

Fang nodded. "I know, that is good."

"Nah, you were fighting another wolf while it was being passed out, Tai got your share." said Cachen with a chuckle.

"It wasn't your fault, it was mine for being so hard headed." said Lena. "Now don't blaim yourself, just pretend it never happened."

"I still want to know what happened to her." said Rob.

"Yes..Nine brothers; Kodiak, Juneau, Oriole, Sitka, Martin, Samson, Yarrow..Oh! Then the twins, Broque and Beta" Jenna smiled a moment as she thought and unbelievably remebered all her brother's names. "I may be forgetting a few of their names."

Kai laughed, giving a nod after a moment. "You could have a point there, Cachen."

Tai nodded. "I know...It's sad though, I mean," she tried to press the words out of her mouth.

Charlie nodded. "I wish I knew too, but we might never know where she is..."

Kodi nodded, giving him a nudge. "And just to tel you, I won't be the strict parent..." he grinned.

Jenna's mood changed, she looked away with a deep blush and a smile. "Of course, of course!"

Kai grinned, eyes darting between the trail and his brother. "Again, you have a good point there!"

"I'm okay," Tai felt something she herself could never have thought to feel. "It's sad...cause I can never forgive him, in fact," she looked up a moment. "I hate him..."

Chalrie nodded slowly, mulling the idea over slowly. "You think so, huh?" he said curiously.
