Kat shook frantically, her fists clenche into balls where she'd held the reins. She jumped at every noise, staring out in a daze.

Ian glanced at Kat, feeling the need to comfort her, but he ignored the feeling.

Kat didn't look at Ian, her breathing was still ragged, her chest never ceaseing to heave. She was having an anxiety attack. Her heart fluttered but se remained paralyzed in fear, unable to move.

Ian's frown increased and he caved, moving towards Kat. He pulled her knees to her chest and made her put her head between her knees.
"Try and slow your breathing."

Kat tried, but that just made her head spin. She obediently continued to try. Once her breathing had slowed she was still tense. Unable to release her fist.

Ian instinctively grabbed Kat's hand, intertwining their fingers. He slowly ran his thumb over the back of her hand, trying to comfort her.

Kat jumped at his action but then felt herself relax a bit. She managed to stop shaking, new electricity humming over her skin.
"Thanks" she said softly.

"Anytime.." Ian said quietly, stiff with embarrassment.

Kat leaned into Ian, taking one more shaking break then relaxing fully.

Ian let Kat lean on him, relaxing finally as he watched the black sky above them.

Kat felt herself drift into a tense sleep, twitching as her usual night terrors began.

Ian held Kat loosely as she began twitching, but his hold tightened as he began drifting off as well.

Kat awoke to the sounds of horses trotting up. She squinted her eyes awake, only to see 10 royal knights. She groaned, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. They grinned down at her, and she knew shed be captured.

Ian was no where to be seen. He'd heard them coming, and snuck off, armed and ready to take them all out.

One of the knights hopped off his horse, walking towards Kat, she braced.
"Can't run forever, now can you?" he sneered about to grab her. Kat whipped out her knife. Flashing it menacingly.
"don't come any closer" she ordered
