Humphrey pouted and said "We know but you've got to learn when we are trying to play around with you, Fern. He's a bad person and he has this atmosphere around him that says that he is a creep."

Elizabeth nodded her head and said "He's right, Fern. You've got to stay away from him for your own good."

Fern rolled her eyes at both of them. "You just don't know him," she said before trying to concentrate on the note-taking that the rest of the class was involved in. She knew she would never be able to convince her friends that Cody was an okay guy, so she just wasn't going to talk about him with them.

Cody was outside an outside window, looking right at Fern and trying to pay attention to the lecture while hiding from any human view but hoping that Fern could see him.

Humphrey sighed and paid attention to the lecture that the teacher was giving.

Elizabeth did the same thing as Humphrey.

Fern glanced out the window and noticed Cody out there. She smiled at him, and waved a little so as not to be noticed by anyone else.

Cody nodded and tried to say that he couldn't wait until she was a wolf as well because she would be beautiful like she is as a human.

Fern wasn't sure what he was trying to say, but smiled back at him anyways.

Cody looked down and sighed. He looked back up at Fern and barked once. He walked backwards, fading into shadow.

Fern stared longer, but she could no longer see him in the shadows. She sighed and returned to her note-taking.

The teacher cleared his throat and said "Fern, go and see the principle. You are in trouble for not paying attention in my class."

Humphrey had a evil smile on his face and said "Deserves her right for being so mean."

Elizabeth looked at Humphrey and said "You're being mean, Humphrey. Stop it."

Fern sighed as the teacher sent her to principle. She hardly ever got in trouble, and she knew her parents would not be to happy that she was sent to the office. She gathered her books silently and sent a glare at Humphrey, hearing his statement. She left the room and headed down the hall to the main office.

Cody was outside of the office and waved at Fern when she was in view while saying "How are you, Fern? Are you glad that I got you out of class?"

"Yeah, I guess, but now my parents are going to kill me for being sent to the pricipal," Fern said.

Cody smirked and said "How? They'll never know. The only people who will even remember this day will be you and me." He started walking out of the school and said "Want to come and let me give you a ride on my back?"

"On your back?" Fern asked in confusion, but she started to follow him out the door anyways.

Cody shifted to his wolf form and lowered himself to the ground so Fern could get on.
