As the immediate danger left, Sadie began to return to her senses. The first thing she noticed besides her pups was Rio's cries of pain. Worry filled her, and she raced to his side, close to tears herself. "Rio!" she cried out, concern emenating form every part of her being.

Sadie gently licked the wound, hoping she wouldn't make it bleed even worse. The bone seemed to be fractured, if not broken. From what she could tell, it was a clean break, though it had shifted out of place. "Rio, I'm going to have to shift the bone back into place. It'll hurt a little bit, but that's the only way it will heal," she said gently, steeling herself for the task ahead.

Sadie had been trying to ignore that fact, and winced as Rio mentioned it. "I know," she muttered, then quickly nudged it, trying to flinch at the grating sound it made.

Rio almost screamed, but he held it in. He instead did a whine. But when it was done, it had less pain.
"How will we escape now if I can't move? Ai will know we are here by Hiro, so pretty much, we are in horrible danger now." He said.

"Rio, in a way, I want him to heal. I don't know why, but it...isn't right to make his injury permanent. I don't know what we'll do with him...but until he's healed, I want to help hom recover." Sadie could guess how Rio would rpely to this, and she silently cursed her caring nature. Moments ago, she was relying on instinct, and had given that injury to him in the first place. Maybe that was why she was helping him. Guilt.

Immediatly, Sadie's face took on a look of concern again. "I'm not sure about that either...do you think you can stand up?" If he could, that would be a small act of good fortune. If not, it would only be more bad luck.

The concern grew on Sadie's face. "We're going to have to stay here for a while then. I'll keep guard just in case Ai or Hiro tries to sneak up on us. You focus on healing and making sure the pups don't run off," she said firmly, a gentle lick accompanying the words.
