"Probably," Shay murmured, finally looking up. When her eyes accidentally met Zane's, she blushed harder, if possible. She tried to shake of the feeling of awkwardness; it wasn't as if they had made out or anything. There shouldn't be a reason to be embarrassed.

To distract herself, Shay pointed out a cluster of trees. "We could make a lean-to there," she suggested.

Shay helped silently, thinking. Zane had been her friend for a long time, but...was it evolving into something more?

Shay was having the same debate. She blushed as she realized she did like him...she had just never admitted it before.

Finally, the small shelter was finished. It would be a bit cramped, but the would all fit, even Viktor.

Shay laughed softly. "It is a masterpiece, isn't it?" she agreed, smiling. "I mean, look at the architecture! Absolutely genius!"

"Is it so beautiful it brings tears to your eyes?" Shay asked mockingly, noticing the moisture in Zane's eyes. While it was probably gained from laughing, it was fun to tease him.

"Like a zebra!" Shay laughed, now on the ground, clutching her stomach from laughing so hard. And it was true; he did. Zane's grimy, muddy face now had skin-colored striped through it. His pose only made it all the more hilarious.

"You did not just do that!" Shay cried out, pretending to be upset. Fake tears came to her eyes, and she let them rip. It was a convincing act, and all she needed was for Zane to come closer...
