Ruger was unconscious with the elk's head on top of him, suffocating him.

Calico slid down the cliff and alnded beside the elk, She trye to push it off Ruger.

As Calico tried to push the elk off of him, Ruger whimpered and said "Please stop. Please stop. Please Stop!!!!!!"

"Why?!" Calico yelped.

Ruger whimpered and said "Because it hurts and, when you move it, it hurts even worse."

"What do you expect me to do? Just levae you here?"

Ruger sighed and said "I don't know. You have to do it and don't stop no matter what until you get it off of me. Please, Calico. Even if it sounds like it's killing me, don't stop. I trust you, Calico. You can do it."

Calico sighed. Insted of nudging the elk to the side and running over Ruger's legs, she bite onto one if its antlers and dragged it towards his tail. Eventully, it was off him.

Ruger was relieved and sighed. He said "Thank you, Calico. I am sorry that this happened. I wanted it to be so special but here I am being saved from my stupidity." He looked down and whimpered very sadly.

Calico nuzzled Ruger. "Its ok. Its gone now, theres ntohignt to worry about."

Ruger smiled and said "It's not gone. It's dead. Eat it. I took it down for you, Calico, and you won't eat it. It makes me feel like you don't care."

"Of course I care Ruger. Calico sighed. "But maybe we should somehow get it back to the den.

Ruger got up and looked around. He walked up close to a tree and said "I learned this trick from my father." He bit into the tree and carved out a half-circle. Ruger looked up at Calico, when he dragged it near the elk, and said "Help me get him on top of it, Calico." He grabbed one of the hind legs and started pulling the elk on top of the half-circle.

Calico nodded an grabbed one of its antler and begain to pull it onto the circle.

Once it was on top of the half-circle, Ruger said "It should be easier this way but we still need to pull it. So, we pull the elk not the circle. The elk will stay on the circle because it's heavy but the circle will slide and not drag like the elk would." He started pulling the elk that was on the half-circle with ease.
