Heeeyyyy. I know that song, Windancer. XD Nice.
~~~~
Shhhhhhh. I know that face, of slumber, Peaceful grace.
Sleep now. But never have I seen't so solemn, uninhabited.
I'm here. It's as though it fled so far beyond my tread.
Lullaby. And yet I know, I'll catch up, and no woe.
Shhhhhhh. I know that face, of heaven, Celestial grace.
Forever, I am with you.
This is for my Social Studied project[immagration], although I am not done with it I am very pleased on how it turned out.
The flood, the rush and the silenced cries Russians, We fled from the world of old to the world of new, The rich became the poor, And the poor where still the poor, The freedom of our people was gone, The Orthodox Church was in ruin, We fled to the better life of America in the mid 1800's, Freedom fluttered in our dreams, The stench of money filled our nostrils, Would the streets really be paved with Gold?! Would we become rick?! We fled with excitement and fear.
Turning seas and darken steerage, What kind of trip was this? The dead where thrown over the side for the sharks to feast on, The sick coughed and wheezed, All where hungry and all where cramped, Upon the darken seas our angle appeared; Angle Island, But where was the grand Lady who welcomed us with open arms? “She lives to the East,” one Russian whispered, On the Island they watched us like a pack of dogs, They pecked at our eyes and our throats, We where the sheep and they where the wolf, We waited to be pecked off one by one.
We where free, Free to to what we want, Free to hunt the hides of animals unknown to us, But once we walked out of the Angle who held us, Into the brighten world, Our smiles turned to frowns, The streets where not paved with gold, The American's spoke in a strange language but we Russian's did not understand
Here's a new piece I just finished called Violent Descent. it was heavily inspired by Swedish metal bands such as Soilwork and In Flames
====================================== Violent Descent ====================================== Music By: Agony Of Fate Lyrics By: C. Moore ======================================
Verse 1
A vicious spiral Down into nothing Fading into smoke Nothing is clear now Insanity's plague Eviscerate the invisible Embody the madness Slowly destroying The violence ***** So divine and vile
Verse 2
Since when did I Ever have a choice Since when did I Ever have a chance Since when did This life have a meaning Devouring these ****** lies A life of defiance and sacrifice Deceiving the absolute And defying the insane
Bridge
Gradually defy the meaning of logical contemplation Extorting the emptiness within, I embody the invisible insane, Eviscerating the vile minds of a dictatorship under fire
(Chorus X1)
Courageous insanity Follows me down Into violent descent Congratulations I'm officially insane ****** lost In the undertow Of our forbidden lies
Waiting for something to show Save me from this violent descent Aiming for something to show For being down so ****** low Verse 3
You have no right To use me as a scapegoat I'm the endless nightmare That plagues you now I will not go through this again Not alone, not again You won't sell me out again 5000 miles later and I'm still lost Never again, never alone
Verse 4
The insanity I follow In these infinite times The plague I've defied In these times of insanity I never redeemed myself But I figured it out That I was never right Only lost in the webs Of my deepest insanity
Bridge 1
Defy reality once again, The soul was lost in the quicksands of my lifelong lie The man I was is long gone, I felt alone and now I'm lost in a sea of hatred and loss The overload is so insane and I feel now the spiral is never going to end
(Chorus X1)
Courageous insanity Follows me down Into violent descent Congratulations I'm officially insane ****** lost In the undertow Of our forbidden lies
Waiting for something to show Save me from this violent descent Aiming for something to show For being down so ****** low Bridge
Gradually defy the meaning of logical contemplation Extorting the emptiness within, I embody the invisible insane, Eviscerating the vile minds of a dictatorship under fire
(Chorus X1)
Courageous insanity Follows me down Into violent descent Congratulations I'm officially insane ****** lost In the undertow Of our forbidden lies
Outro x2
Waiting for something to show Save me from this violent descent Aiming for something to show For being down so ****** low Waiting for something to show Save me from this violent descent Aiming for something to show For being down so ****** low
Rise above the screams, the anguished cries.
Rise above the sun, that will never shine. For this, my friends, will be the end.
Light clashes with the dark, shadows reign supreme. But one last ray, beams in front of me.
With it comes hope, memories of what have long since been lost.
I know, we can make one more stand, rise above the devil's hand.
For someday, the sun will rise again. Stars will dot the twilight sky. Gentle breezes will blow once more, if we just open the door.
Let in the light, let your might shine through. The battle's lost, but the war's begun, it's up to us to change.
Solaris: Wow I felt every feeling coming from that. You truly deserve every complement you get because to write something like that takes true soul. Windancer: Your way of writing is great! I love your poems. You make even sad poems seem beautiful ^^
And here's one I wrote yesterday. I haven't written a poem in an extremely long time so...
Twist my stomach Turn it in knots Tangle and trap it Until it gets caught
Fighting within My brain, my whole being Prying my skin Something I can't see in
Lost between paths My eyes fail in the dark Fading away past Attempt to carve in the bark
Does it make sense? Does it work? What is left, What is it worth?
All that remains is a sad little friend Who's journey keeps going And has not an end
Is it fate that binds us? The howl and the call? The answers aren't coming That's the truth in its fall.
~~
I also drew a stupid little drawing to go with it, but X3
Climbing up into the sky. Somewhere up above the sun awaits. Below is an endless abyss that I have struggled up through. My clothes torn. My face worn from the wind Fingers bloodied from the climb Sometimes I slip and the rocks cut deeper into my flesh. Inside my spirit weakens. It quivers and my heart pounds. Whatever guides me or maybe it’s my stubbornness. I grab ahold of an outcropping and pull myself up. All the miles I have had to endure. I know I am not alone on this climb. Some give up and let themselves fall. I have often had to stare into their eyes as they rush past me. Those swirling depths filled with sadness. Often they reach out to others. But the hand is refused. Then they are gone. I have tried to grab their wrists as they fall past me. Sometimes I am lucky and manage to get them back on the cliff and have them continue on. And sometimes I cannot help but watch. I can see sunlight through the clouds. I reach out and feel the warmth. I continue. Who knows where this mountain will lead. But I am just glad to still be here for the journey. So many times I wanted to fall into the depths. Just let the darkness claim me. But every time I feel that way I see the faces of those who \have fallen and I continue to push. Everything has to lead somewhere. And I aim to find out.
Nice poems, Windy, Hunter, Ahura! :D
Here's one that I wrote as a journal entry in Composition class the other week:
_______
Pacing in the moonlight, and what do I see? Tiny silver flakes falling down upon me.
To each it's own design, as on the grass they do align, swerving 'round my feet, for each another it will meet.
In the wind some dance, and others prance, as from the sky they tumble, causing startled eyes to stumble.
Their gentle touch, though it's not much, helps to make me smile, for Mother Nature's simple gifts make this walk worthwhile.
I could not say the light of day was never to return, but the secret of the crystals was one I longed to learn.
But could one ever capture the true beauty of the snow? Or is the snowflake's secret one that we will never know?
I'm encircled and surrounded, and by the splendor, I'm astounded.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven... All the fluff that falls from heaven. More and more that spin and swirl, they're skyward, feathered pearls.
Alas, out here I cannot stay, for soon would come the light of day and chase this gift away.
Pacing in the moonlight, and what do I see? A perfect winter world, now embracing me.
"In the wind some dance"...LOL! I immediatly thought of my username. XDDD Username coincidence or not, it sounded really pretty, Natti. You gots the talent. ^-^ @Hunter: Aw, thanks!  I really like your's too. You can tell they mean something to you. @Ahura: Wow, that was really good. ------- My heart pounds as shadows circle me. Everything seems out of reach, so distant. I feel so alone; where have you gone? Your guidance, you love...why did it flee? Tears splash against the ground, No light enters the place, the prison. Where are you? You aren't around, You aren't around for me. We used to be so close, so strong. Our friendship lasted so long, I hoped it would never end. I guess I was wrong...'cause you're long gone. You left me in the dust, longing for the touch of your hand. You left me behind, I'm running in circles now. I can't find the path I'm supposed to use, My poor heart, has been abused, Because of you. Why did you leave? Why did you go? Once so high, I've sunk too low. Only you...only you can bring me back now. Come back, reach out to me. Help me back, from this twisted fantasy. It can't be real, you can't have gone. We...we were once so strong. I could feel your love, I knew your heart. I was there for you but, some things have to end before others start.
