Freefall glared at Tan behind his back, and only just managed to hold back a growl. "Shadow...We're leaving now." He said as he got up and walked across the deadlands, a bit of a limp in his step.

"Now? Um, but uh.." He went up to Freefall. "The truth is, I'm scared." He whispered so low that only Freefall could hear.

"I'm scared too, but that isn't stopping me." Replied Freefall, whispering so low that only Shadowfire could hear.

"Are you telling the truth, or are you just saying that to make me feel a bit better?" He asked, slightly louder.

"Uh, yeah...it isn't working is it?"

"Hell no." Replied Shadowfire, walking ahead of Freefall, he then rolled his eyes.

Freefall smirked then turned his head to face Sunfire. "You coming?" He asked.

ooc: I'd love to make a sequel when this one finishes, you guys could pm me and tell me your plot ideas, then I'll mix our plots together so hopefully that one will last longer X3 but it looks as though this one might last about, 40 or 50 pages, maybe 60?

Bic:// Wolfbane nodded in agreement and slowly trudged out of the den, glancing back to Snowspirit every once in a while before finally heading back out into the daylight. He then took in a deep breath and sighed heavily as he shook his head. He lowered his head and prayed for Snowspirit's well-being. And please... Please let her be okay....

Fireclaw went out of the cave for one of his walks, he soon bumped into Wolfbane. "Hello there young Wolfbane, how are you and Snowspirit?"

Mistclaw had followed Sunfire, he then saw Freefall and stopped in his tracks..he then thought about what Sunfire said, and what the voice said.

Snowspirit took in a deep breath and lay her head down, shutting her eyes. Calmness flooded into her, almost instantly, this was how it was meant to be, her alone with the sunshine warming her and a cool breeze letting her scent her mate standing valiantly outside. She squeezed her eyes shut tighter and let herself fall into a sleep like state.

(Ok the last post from Snowspirit for a while, so no one come into the cave ok, otherwise, well you will find out :lol:

and that is good about the sequel, as I said I would die if this finished.)

Sunfire looked at Freefall and then back at Tan. 'Well if you think you are so big and powerful why don't you come along with us as a guard or something' she said, her face blank from emotion. She watched as Tan nodded slowly, and then she brushed past him towards Freefall. 'Yes I'm coming, what kind of a friend wouldn't come' she said.
Tan shook his head when Sunfire brushed past, but savored the feel. He looked past where Sunfire had been standing, and spotted something small on the floor. He looked closer at it and saw it was a young dragon. He glanced behind at the three behind him, and then tipped his head at the youngling. He turned around and walked up to the group.

Bic:// Wolfbane looked up only to be greeted by Fireclaw. His concerned face turned into a big smile and nodded in reply. "I'm doing well, sir," he replied. "And so is Snowspirit... Well, at least for now." He then shook his head clear again and was about to say something about Freefall when his father, Thunderstorm, finally came back in from the patrol.

Thunderstorm looked from his son to Fireclaw and nodded in greeting. "Hello, dear friend," he said. "I hope everything is alright... How are young Freefall and Sunfire? I haven't heard from them in a very long time.

Took the words right out of my mouth, Wolfbane instantly thought, still waiting patiently for his father to be done.

Fireclaw pause for a moment. "Well, Freefall and Sunfire have gone to stop Thraklor." Replied Fireclaw.

Mistclaw almost shivered when Tan looked at him, to him, Tan was like a giant, a scary giant.

Freefall smiled then continued to walk across the deadlands, soon they were through and they came to a large dark cave. "We'll have to travel through here..The clouds will makeit almost impossible to see if we fly over the mountain, and if we walk around, we'll get soaked." Said Freefall, walking into the cave.

"I'd rather walk around." Said Shadowfire, a hint of shakiness in his voice.

'Freefall, I would rather risk getting soaked than go into a cave that could be full of bats, and before anyone says anything yes I am afraid of bats, now if anyone says anything I will kill them' Sunfire said, looking pointedly at Shadowfire. 'I vote we go round, it would be safer, or even better we could camp for the night, I am tired and it is late and dark.'
Tan just watched everyone argue. He had been here before, but had never gone in the cave, the dragons that lived around here told stories of monsters in the cave, and no one ever went into the cave and came out alive. He had never gone in to respect these dragons, and because of the number of dragons that had gone missing around here. 'I vote we go around too' he said.

Thunderstorm's eyes widened with surprise. "Really?" he said, raising an eyebrow. "That sounds like a very dangerous task. Let's just hope they get back alive."

Wolfbane, however, was confused. "Who's Thraklor?" he had to ask. He hadn't seen Freefall or Sunfire since that day a few months back, and, apparently, he never really got out much anymore beacuse of all the tasks his father had given him since he finally got back with Snowspirit.

"Thraklor is an ancient, evil dragon who has mastered all of the elements, some say he's a myth, but I say he's real." Said Fireclaw, remembering his childhood. "He is definately real." He muttered.

"Well, then uh," he paused, he was out voted. "We'll go around then, I just don't like water...unless I have to drink it, which I don't." Muttered Freefall. He started to walk off but then heard the silent tapping of paws behind the group. Freefall turned around, but whatever it was, it hid straight away. Freefall just shrugged then continued on.

Sunfire slowed her pace down so she was walking beside Tan. She wanted to get a better look at this mystery dragon who had saved her life, and to get to know him a bit. 'So, where do you come from' she asked, hoping it didn't sound stupid.
Tan smiled at Sunfire, peering at her through the rain and darkness. She really was quite pretty, Freefall was lucky, that was if he decided to ever ask her to be his mate. 'I don't really come from anywhere, I'm a traveller, I sleep wherever I can and live in the open by myself, I left my pack a long time ago and never really wanted to go back' he replied.

When they were around the mountain, Freefall lay down under a tree. "We can sleep here for the night, the trees will shelter us from the rain." He said, he could see that Shadowfire was already asleep, in the rain. He sighed then grabbed a few large leaves and put them over Shadowfire. "Idiot." Muttered Freefall.

Shadowfire was not asleep, he was just pretending. When he heard Freefall call him an idiot, he stuck out his tail to trip him, it worked, but when Freefall turned around to look at him he immediately pretended to be asleep again. But soon Shadowfire was sleeping for real.

'But surely you had friends, family that you let, don't you even want to visit them' Sunfire said, looking a little shocked that someone wouldn't want to be in a pack with people they knew. She stopped under the trees, choosing a nice dry spot, and settled down. 'Night Freefall' she mumbled, unsure if he would bother to reply or not, or even if he heard over the rain.
Tan lay down next to Sunfire, in the slightly damper area. 'Well, yeh I had friends and family, but I didn't want to stay with the same people my whole life, I wanted to meet new people and have adventures' he said, laying his head down. 'Of course I will go back at some point to visit.'

Freefall just curled up where he lay, he had heard Sunfire, but just replied with a soft. "Goodnight." And then lay his head on his paws before falling asleep. Freefall awoke an hour later, he crept silently away from the others. The rain had stopped and now there was not a cloud in sight. Freefall found a nice quiet place by the edge of a cliff and looked up at the stars. 'I just have a gut feeling someone I know is going to die.' Thought Freefall.

ooc: Do you guys wanna know who that someone is? here's just a little spoiler, it's gonna be Shadowfire. Yeah that's right, the fast-talking big-mouthed goof ball is gonna die in this rp.

(As Sunfire: Oh my god, that is so sad, I am going to miss his sorry little butt so much...NOT.
As me: Ooh, wonder how that will happen *starts to think of many torturous ways to kill Shadowfire*)

Sunfire had already fallen asleep before Freefall had replied 'goodnight', and fell asleep with a tiny seed of confusion in her mind. She felt like she was waking, but it was only a dream she was having.

An open plateu stretched before her, dark grey rocks scattered everywhere made the ground sharp and treacherous. A chill wind whipped across the plain, blowing against one side of her face, and suddenly Freefall was in front of her. He looked different though, his scales were dull but his eyes glittered blood red and with an evil glee. All of a sudden her view changed, she was watching herself and Freefall from just a short way away, unable to move. She looked different too, her eyes were blank as if she was blind, but her pupils were there, they were just slits. She stood staring at Freefall for a while, and all the time Freefall was saying something, but she couldn't hear. He tensed his muscles, and then leapt towards her in almost slow motion, but all of a sudden a pale brown blur crashed into his side, knocking him over. Freefall disappeared, and Sunfire wanted to cry and scream, but the blur stopped and turned into Tan, and everything felt...safe again.

As the dream ended, Sunfire woke for a second before falling asleep again.
Tan didn't fall asleep, he watched everyone else sleep, but as Freefall woke and walked away, he followed him. He walked up behind him, and then growled curtly to get his attention. 'What are you doing here, you need to stay with the group' he said, and then decided that this was as good a time as any to tell Freefall something that he had been meaning to for a long time. 'Listen you' he started, 'you obviously like Sunfire, and she likes you, but that might all change if I have anything to do with it, you haven't asked her to be your mate, so she is still free and available, and that means that if I can win her over, I will leave and she will come with me, and I intend to have her as my mate, so I am warning you now, stay out of my way.'

Freefall almost jumped when he heard the growl but then realised it was Tan, he sighed. "You can have her Tan, I'm not good enough for her and never will be." He said, staring at his paws. "I'm nothing but a loser, after all this time, I finally realise that Shadow was telling the truth."
