Ian smirked, he had her wrapped around his finger, his own little puppet. He chuckled internally at the thought of making Kat scream in pain.

Kat smiled, if she could purr she would. She took a deep breath and stood suddenly, "We should get going." She said, trying to hide the blush on her face.

"Of course, lead on." Ian said, standing up.

Kat walked back to the Horses and hopped on, scaling the mountain.

Ian mimicked Kat's movements and trotted up next to her.
"Alright, lets be off then."

THe afternoon melted into dusk but they continued to plow on through night. The hauntingly familiar sounds of paws on the night floor made Kat go ridged. She looked around wildly, her face caked with sweat and her eyebrows knit. She looked nervously at Ian.
"They're back." she whimpered. She was still injured and hurting from the last time the wolves greeted them. Kat whimpered further until her horse suddenly screamed and fell dead. As it fell, it's massive body crashed down on her leg, trapping her. Kat screeched, her leg almost breaking at the pressure.

Ian's eyes darted around to try and see the wolves, and he hopped off of his horse. He rushed over to help Kat, pulling her out from under the horse, with much pain since the horse was so heavy.
"Come on, we need to outrun them." Ian heaved Kat up onto his own horse before following.

"You can keep up with the horse though.. " Kat whimpered, her injured leg throbbing.

Ian shrugged, and kicked the horse, making it neigh and dart forwards.
"We could probably outrun them.." He said gruffly.

Kat nodded, buckling down and whimpering with every jostle the horse made. "There's so many." she whimpered, seeing the swarms of black wolves nipping at the horses heels.

Ian let go of the horse and pressed a longer knife, more like a sword or a machete, into Kat's hand.
"Do something helpful." He growled.

Kat nodded and started hacking away at the beasts running alongside he horse. Only when she slice a wolves head clean off of her shoulders did she feel her somach churn. She pressed the knife into Ian's hands and nobly climbed over him, taking the reins.
"How about I drive for a while?" she offered, her face a light shade of green.

Ian glanced back at Kat and nodded, Quickly switching places with her. He leaned down over the back of the horse and slashed at the wolves, not getting a bit dizzy or sick at all.

Soon the wolves died away, leaving the horse about to collapse from terror and Kat shaking horribly. She pulled the horse to a stop, tears streaming down her face. She looked at a wide field stretched over them. And past it was the next mountian, where a puff of smoke glimmered from the peak. The dragons lair. Or a valcano. Kat stayed on the horses back, paralyzed with fear.

Ian stopped the horse and tied it to a tree, and slid off, grabbing Kat before she fell, and lay her down in the grass. He panted slightly, his arms had a few scratches and he was slick from the blood, but other than that fine.
