Alfred nodded, Amd leaned back in the chair as he waited for Arthur. A few hours later they were called in, allowed to see him but not talk because he was heavilysedated.

Kat stood around in Arthur's room for a while then yawned, "Well, I'm out, happy reunion and sh*t, glad I could help. Buh-bye." Kat said, before turning and begining to make her way for the door.

"Kat.." Alfred whimpered, looking at her with his best kicked puppy look.
"Could you stay..to keep away the nightmares?" He asked with a small frown.

Kat squeezed her eyes shut. She had been having horrible nightmares lately. She half turned, looking him up and down in a half glare, half look of pitty. What he had with Arthur seemed all too natural. Kat shook her head softy, all ready regretting it.
"And ruin what you and Arthur have? No. I think I'm gonna go on the road for a while, travel around..." Kat said, turning again and looking out the door.

"Okay...but..you'll call? Or I'll call and you'll tell me your alive and to f**k off?" He asked hopefully, embracing her in a hug before going back to sit down.
"Be safe."

It was so easy for her to just say: No, I won't call you Alfred. I'm not ever going to call anyone ever again. But she didn't, she surpressed a frown and nodded "Safe is like, my middle name." She promised. Before walking out the door and swinging into her car. Kat felt herself tremble, but she raised her jaw, rolled her shoulders back, and swung out of the driveway and onto the road.

Months passed in what felt likeyears for the boys, Arthur's 'healing' process took a while, although he was released after a few more days. He and Alfred grew closer, although Alfred still waited kn that call from Kat which he hadnt received yet.

Kat hadn't been up to any good, illigal things had become a daily ritual in her life. She hooked up with any guy who would offer her money, she turned to drugs and alcohal and abusive people. When Kat was a little girl, she hadn't dreamt about being an "easy" girl when she grew up. She dreamt of being a marine biologoist or something. But here she was, a hot itchy pillow under her head in the middle of the day.
She lay in the even hotter hbed, a snoring boy next to her. Kat frowned at him and took a drag of her cigarett before reaching into her purse. She scrolled through her contacts and finally found Alfred's number.
"Hey man! Long time no talk!" Kat was half stoned, so everything was pretty funny to her right now.

Alfred perked as his phone buzzed, and he answered quietly.
"Oh hey Kat..you finally decided to call!" He said in a hushed voice, trying to get out of the bed Arthur slept in next to him. He stood, dressed quickly and went down to the living room, where he talked normally.
"How's life been bro, you gonna...visit, anytime soon?" His voice contained numerous levels of hope.

Kat laughed at the sound of his voice and then nodded, as if he could see her.
“Yeah man! I plan on doing so. I’ve been gone a while, huh? A few months? Sorry I haven’t called or anything, my life had been on the fast lane for a while.” Her eyes were bloodshot from sheer lack of sleep, and she had lost weight from never eating.

Alfred nodded, looking back in his room where Arthur had slept soundly, but was stirring.
"So you'll come visit soon?" He asked, "Hey..can I call you back? Arthur's waking up.." Alfred smiled at the brit, who yawned and sat up, scratching his bare chest.

“Yeah, I’ll visit in the next week. I think I’m far away right now, like in…Uhhmm…” Kat shook the sleeping man next to her, he snored and looked at her with a glare, “What state am I in?” She asked.
“Ohio.” He growled, tossing her some money, signaling her departure.
“I’m in Ohio right now, which is like a day away or something. I sold the little car for money. Call me back though. I’d love to swing by!” Kat chimed before hanging up the phone and pulling her shirt on. She wiggled into her shorts and patted the sleeping man’s forehead, before taking his wallet from his pocket without him realizing. Kat stole his cash, leaving his credit cards. Though half stoned, Kat was smart enough to not use credit cards, someone could trace the card back to her. She lit up a cigarette and exited the motel.

Arthur stretched, and looked to Alfred, who was flipping the phone shut.
"Who was that?" The sleepy brit asked, and Alfred came back over and lay down on the bed again.
"Kat." He answered, kissing Arthur's neck.
"What'd she want..?" Arthur hummed, turning and kissing him before staring up at Alfred wiith his big green eyes.
"To visit."

Kat scrolled through her contacts, but decided to just hit the nearest college if she wanted a good time. She mounted a bus and rode over to Ohio State University, there'd be frat parties there, there was always a party somewhere.

"Alfred...stop we need to get up." Arthur objected, smiling and kissing his nose before standing. He pulled on some pants and a shirt, before looking back at Alfred.
"Aw duude...fine." The American huffed, before the two wlaked downstairs.
