Duke shrugged.
"Mom tried to give me a name similar to my dads.." he said, looking over at her. "You're isn't too bad either. Warbler. Its unique."

Warbler perked at his compliment, thumping her tail proudly.
"Well thanks, i like Duke...Duuuke." She repeated, rolling it across her tounge. "Yeah that sounds nice."

Duke layed down, his chin on the ground, thinking.
"Thanks.." he replied. "So...you been...with Dad long..?"

Warbler nodded, sitting beside him.
"Yeah, he found me when i was little after mom kicked me out." She replied sadly.

Duke looked up at her.
"Oh..im sorry," he said. "About your mom part.."

She shrugged and smiled at him.
"Yeah well....at least Prince found me!" She woofed happily, thumping her tail. She noticed Iggy and picked him up.
"And by the way, this is Iggy." She stated promptly.

"Oh uh.." Duke nodded to the octopus. "Hi..there Iggy..nice to..meet you."

Warbler laughed, and set him down.
"Sooo....where do you live?" She asked him.

"I lived with my mom," he said. "With her pack...but she told me i had to leave..and so i've been looking for my dad...for a few weeks now."

Warbler licked his cheek in a friendly/comforting way.
"Aw..Im sorry, good thing you found us then!!" She said happily bouncing.

Duke looked at her, tilting his head.
"Found you guys? Why?" he said. "I highly doubt dad will want me around. He left me and mom in the first place.."

Warbler shrank back a bit, feeling sad he didnt want to stay.
"Oh...well, you are his son....so ya know...and i think he left your mom, not purposely you!" She said, shuffling her paws.

Duke sat his head on the ground in a sort of moping pose.
"I don't want to bother him.." he mumbled. "He probably doesn't want me to stay.."

"But..I want you to stay..." Warbler mumbled, laying down too, in the same position.

Duke tilted his head a bit at her reply.
"...Do..you think he'd let me stay?" Duke asked her. "I mean..you know him a lot better then me..."
