Shay sped up easily; she hadn't been going near her quickest pace. "You'll have to do better than that, Zane," she laughed, past him once again.

Shay left, and suddenly she felt icy water. Yelping, she stumbled backwards, pupils becoming cat-like again in her surprise. She hadn't watched where she was heading, and had stepped into a river...a freakin' cold river. She fell on to the ground hard, and sat still, trying to regain her breath. She looked at Viktor and Zane sourly. "Don't you dare laugh," she threatened.

Shay's gaze could now curdle milk. "I said not to laugh," she grumbled. She tried to get up, but slipped in the mud.

"I can get out myself," she snapped. Shay tried to get up, but slipped once again. She still hesitated before taking Zane's hand, using him to help her up. She wasn't one to ask for help, or let someone help her.

Shay felt her cheeks flush slightly, and she smiled. "Thanks, Zane," she said, a bit awkwardly. She wasn't one to say "thank you" either.

Shay was now blushing furiously, and she was glad Viktor was asleep. Or at least had his eyes closed.

Shay couldn't meet his eyes either, and her cheeks were bright red.
