"According to Father and Wayra. Most people say they're extinct. But Father said that he's met one, and Wayra says that his father met one." She shrugged. "But extinct or not, they did exist at one point."

"Wow," RUe said. "Dragons only exist in fairytales and stuff where I come from. But actual dragons must be pretty cool," she said, picturing one in her mind.

"I've never met one. It would be pretty cool, though." Setsuko admitted. "Father claims there's a dragon egg out there, waiting to hatch. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it would be pretty cool if it was. Still, dragons where the original Firebenders, and I'm not too keen to get burned."

"If dragons where the original Firebenders, who were the original Waterbenders? And Earth benders and Airbenders?" Rue said, bluting out the question rapidly.

"The original Earthbenders where badger-moles and the original Airbenders where Sky Bison." Setsuko explained calmly. "As for Waterbending, they didn't have an animal. The original Waterbender was the moon."

"The moon?" Rue asked, uncertain she had heard right. "So...you're distantly related to the moon?" she asked, narrowing her eyes in slight confusion. How could someone be related to the moon??

Setsuko laughed. "Yes, genius! I'm part moon!" She replied sarcastically. Then her expression grew more serious. "No," She said truthfully, as if it had been the most obvious thing in the world. "My ancestors...on my mother's side, of course...saw how the moon pushed and pulled the tides, and learned how to do it themselves."

"That makes much more sense," Rue said, laughing, slightly embarrassed.

Noticing Rue's slight embarrassment, Setsuko laughed along. "It's ok, you didn't know. I guess I see how someone might think that." She shrugged.

Rue smiled at Setsuko, glad that she had let it go quickly.

"So..." Setsuko said, searching for a topic. She sighed, wondering what to say. Maybe Rue would strike up a conversation.

"So..." Rue repeated, wondering what to say. "Other than your parent, are there any other Airbenders?" she asked, wondering if Setsuko had mentioned it before. Maybe she had, but atleast it was a good way to strike up some conversation.

Setsuko shook her head sadly. "No. Just me and my father. The rest where killed a hundred and twenty years ago, by an army of Firebenders. It was the start of a war that lasted for one hundred years. My father was twelve at the time."

Rue winced sympathetically. "WEll that sucks," she said.

"Yeah," Setsuko agreed. "But what's done is done. We have to move o---" She didn't get to finish the sentence, because suddenly, something jolted her off her feet and onto the floor. "What was that?" She hissed. Jaci yowled in alarm, terrified. Another great shake. "It feels like Earthbending gone wrong!" Setsuko excalimed.
