"No, I dont mean it like that. I mean neither of us will last forever." She said.

Ruger sighed and said "I know that. But if you die, I won't be long to follow you, Calico. I can't live without you. You are the very air I breath. If you cut my air off, then I will die."

"Yeah, but what about the times before I knew you?"

"I wasn't living then. I was just waiting for my death because life held no meaning for me but when you popped into the picture life suddenly made sense to me. I am glad for that stupid cat. He lead me straight to you, my lovely mate."

Calico smiled. "Thanks... you to."

Ruger smiled and nuzzled Calico lovingly. Once he pulled away, Ruger licked Calico's muzzle.

Calico smiled widely. "Well, should we be getting back?"

Ruger smiled widely and said "If you want to then it's fine by me. Or we could go do some hunting?"

"Oh yes forgot about that. "Lead that way." Calico said.

Ruger smiled and said "What do you want? Rabbit? Deer? Elk? Some rare elk live around here."

"Well, probably the quickst thing we can get. Something that wont take to long."

Ruger smiled and said "You can go get yourself some rabbit, Calico. But, I am going to get you the best elk I can find." He started sniffing and scented some of the best elk he ever smelled. He ran after the smell and soon found a herd of elk.

Calico secretly followed Ruger

Ruger stared at the herd and looked around for a male. They are the best tasting. He found one and ran after it. He chased it all around the place until it finally stopped and turned around to face Ruger. Ruger looked at the elk and snarled at it. The elk stomped it's hove on the ground and charged Ruger. Ruger maneuvered around it and sank his teeth into it's neck. The elk lifted it's head and while doing so lifted Ruger off of the ground. It ran off of a cliff and fell down with Ruger. Ruger yelped very loudly and the elk was dead.

Calico watched as everything happened. She watched in shock as Ruger tunbled off a cliff. She ran to the cliff, and s creeched to a stop when she got to the edge to it. "Ruger!"
