ooc-whatever. I guess this is just Nightstar's revenge at Silversnow being a mind-reader earlier. Won't happen again.

Silversnow layed her ears back. "Nothing!" she said, scooting back slightly.

Realizing her mistake, Nighstar apologized. "Sorry, Silversnow. I guess I was just a little embarrassed...caught in the act." She glanced outside. It was still pouring buckets, along with hail and thunder. Many of the wolves where sitting or laying in the den. She inched a bit closer to Ohzu and lay down. The brown Hunter lay next to her, sharing her warmth. Nightstar turned back to Silversnow. "Looks like it'll be raining for quite a while yet," She pointed out.

"Yeah," SIlversnow said, releived that Nightstar had let it drop. She moved back to the back of the den as thunder boomed outside, wincing.

Nightstar giggled inwardly. It seemed so entertaining that her friend feared the storms.

Silversnow stopped wincing as the thunder stopped booming for a moment.

Nightstar sighed and rested her head on Ohzu's paws. Ohzu gently placed his head on hers. Nightstar smiled, eyes still closed, and fell asleep.
When she woke, though it was still dark, the sound of the rain had stopped, and though she could still smell wetness, the scent wasn't nearly as bold and apparent as it had been before. She could also detect just a few glowing dots in the sky...Stars. It was midnight. "Storm's over," she murmured to herself, glancing at Silversnow.

Silversnow blinked sleepily, uncurling. She yawned, then lay down again, not noticing her friend. Her eyes drifted shut again.

"Silversnow, wake up," Nightstar. "Storm's over. Everything's fine." She stood and paced over towards Silversnow. She missed the comfort of Ohzu's warm pelt, but she need to awaken Silversnow...just for now, leastways.

"Wha'?" she mumbled, cracking open a green eye and uncurling again. She sat up, a yawn escaping from her silver muzzle.

"Storm's over," Nightstar repeated. "We're fine." She shifted her gaze from the silver wolf to the clear night sky outside. As she inhaled, sharp, clean scents of wet earth filled her muzzle. She prodded Ohzu. "Uh?" He mumbled. "I'm going outside. Do you want to come?" She murmured in his ear. Ohzu stood and stretched before following Nightstar out into the open. Nightstar turned back, locking eyes with Silversnow. She smiled, indicated the Hunters' den, and winked. Then she and Ohzu left the camp. Soft, wet grass seeped up between their paws, washing their dirty pawpads. The air was crisp and the sounds and scents many. Nighstar sighed happily.

Silversnow smiled as her friend left, then stood up and yawned. She strecthed, shaking her silver pelt as she relaxed, straightening again.

Nightstar glanced around. It was darker than day, of course, but the bright moonlight shone clear through the mountain mist that was beginning to form. She stopped on a small, grassy ledge jutting out from the mountain. Ohzu stopped as well, sitting down and observing the spectacular view that was placed out in from of the wolves. Noticing that Ohzu seemed a bit lost in his own world, perhaps even worried, judging by his expression. "Ohzu, what is it?" She asked, gentle concern obvious in her voice. Ohzu sighed. "I was just thinking," He began, and then paused, closing his amber eyes. "Maybe we....I mean, after the...I mean...well," He sighed again. Nightstar gazed at him curiously, wondering what the brown wolf was trying to say. "Never mind," He said finally. "We're...well, I mean, we've just become Hunters and Fighter recently, and I don't think...well, just never mind." He turned away, back to the landscape that stretched ahead. Nightstar's ice blue eyes remained on him for a moment, but then she, too, turned away. She knew better than to push him on...for now.

Silversnow yawned again, still tired, but waking up slowly. When both of them left, a picture of DAvid filled her mind. Why couldn't he have followed Ohzu in? Filled with a desire to see him, she padded out of the den, a brisk wind tugging at her fur, filled with earthy scents. The moon still shone brightly, the sun's arrival only shown by a few hints of pink above the crests of the mountains. Maybe he would be awake.
