Shane looked at his paws.
"I'm sorry.."

Rochelle looked down at her own paws and just stayed quiet.

Rochelle watched him leave then slunk off to town, hoping to find Tony.

Shane trotted at a quick pace along the river, not stopping for anything.

Once Rochelle was in town she crept off to a dark alley, yawning. She lay down at the far back to let her mind wander.

Shane sighed as he slowed down. The territory he was in was unknown, he didn't recognize it at all. Curious, he looked around, sniffing at the ground.

Rochelle remained in the alley for quiet awhile, soon finding herself falling asleep.

Rochelle was in a dreamless sleep, she hadn't slept the night before so she was deep into it.

Shane trotted nearly all day, exploring the new woods. He came back to the pack late at night, tired from his walk, but knowing he couldn't sleep, he just lay down.

Rochelle hadn't moved from the alley and hadn't even seen Tony pass her by on the way back to their little den.

Shane had finally slept half a night, and woke up feeling somewhat refreshed.

The sun came up slowly the next morning, birds flew over head and there was a slight new layer of snow on the ground.

The pack had decided to move again, this time farther north. Shane was trotting through town, trying to find Rochelle.
