Kyler smiled when Damien kissed her head, and also at his little joke about himself. But when he was quiet at her request about her mother, she was a bit confused. "She's still my mom, Dame." she stated, "And nothing, no matter what she does to me, could change that. I can't hate her; I just can't."

"She may not be as loving as another person I know," Kyler continued, "But like I said, she has a hard time with herself." She hoped she wasn't making Damien feel guilty in any way, since Kyler felt responsible for her mother, as if it was the other way around where the daughter takes care of the mom. "It's ok, I promise." she added.
