Cody nodded his head and said sadly "I truly am sorry." He left and went home to sleep until morning.

Fern sighed, feeling guilty for being so rude, but she soon went to bed and fell asleep.

Cody was at school early the next day to get his stuff for his first class.

(Yep.)

Fern came into school a bit earlier than she normally did and headed towards her locker.

Cody got his books and headed for his next class without looking at Fern.

Fern reached her locker just as Cody walked away. She gathered her stuff, wondering why he hadn't said anything to her or even look at her.

Elizabeth came to Fern's locker when Fern did and said "Hi. How are you doing today, Fern?"

Humphrey walked into the picture right after Elizabeth did.

"I'm alright," Fern said with a small smile at her friend.

Katie and Lana walked towards their friends. "Hey, guys," Katie said. "Anyone do anything insteresting last night?"

"No," Fern said a little too quickly.

Humphrey smiled and said "I think someone's hiding something."

Elizabeth nodded her head and asked "What happened last night Fern?"

"Like I said, nothing," Fern said stubbornly.

Humphrey was about to say something but Elizabeth put a hand over his mouth to quiet him. She said "Okay. Shall we get to class? The bell's about to ring."

Humphrey pushed Elizabeth's off of his mouth and said "I'm leaving. See you guys in class." He left to get to class.

"Yeah, the bell will ring any moment," Fern said, also heading to class.

Lana exchanged a look with Katie and Elizabeth, but shrugged it off and went to class as well.

Elizabeth looked at Lana and said "There's something going on with Fern and I say it's the new guy. Have you seen him around her a bit to much? I think we need to talk to the principle about this stalker."

"The principle?" Lana asked. "Isn't that a bit much."

Katie shrugged. "It may not be, depending on how bad it really is."

Fern walked into class and sat down at her desk.

Cody sat next to Fern and said "Hi."

Elizabeth nodded her head and said "It is necessary." She walked into class and seen Cody sitting next to Fern and said "See. He is now even sitting next to her. This has to stop." She took the seat next to Fern but up one from her normal spot due to Cody being in it.
