Russet aasured her with his look, Everything will be fine.... Then he looked down at Shay. "Yes, you do, little one..."

Russet didn't know what to say. "That's for you to find out, for all of you to find out for yourselves."

"Tomorrow. Mid-day."

Russet frowned with worry, but just sat down. They'll be fine, he tried to assure to himself.

Russet tried to smile, but the his previous actions gnawed at his stomach. He placed his head against the stone, chilled cave floor to try and stop from vomiting. He whimpered very softly, barely audible.

Russet turned his head to look at the pups -- he couldn't look at Delilah once the guilt of what he nearly did kicked in.

He looked at Lia, his shy daughter rarely ever spoke and he was beginning to worry about her, too. If she did not speak up and learn to be bold, she would end up like Chaskar, the very bottom of a pack -- if she went down that path.

He exhaled slowly and closed his eyes, focusing on nothing but breathing.
