Arthur chuckled, beginning to watch the movie again.

Kat got up and looked aorund, "I'm gonna go make popcorn, be right back." She said, walking out of the room and walking to the pantry.

Alfred nodded and once she was gone he hopped up on the couch.
"You think we should tell her?" he whispered.
"I think..she'd freak out Al.." Arthur replied quietly, before kissing him lightly on the lips.

I realized that I forgot where the popcorn was and walked back into the room, "Hey, do you know where the pop...corn...is..." I looked up blindly at the two kissing. My heart dropped to my stomach. I was lost for words.
"Uhhh...I shouldn't have walked back in..." I said, stunned.

Alfred stood quickly, his body blocking Arthur's red face.
"Yeah man it's in the cabinet...I'll make it.." He said, hurrying into the kitchen. Arthur stared mindlessly at the TV and swallowed tensely. Obviously, he was not one for public displays of affection.

Kat stood stiffly. She hated life so much now. It all sucked. Before, she used to have Alfred. Even if she didn't have much, she still had him. And now she didn't. Kat looked at the TV, trying to hide the hurt on her face.

"Well now you know how I felt." Arthur spoke up with a sigh, stretching his arms out.

Kat shot him a death glare, one that she hardly ever used. She looked at him, her eyes brows furrowed, her lips in a striaght line.

Arthur shot one back, filled with much mor hatred, a look he'd used on only his worst enemies. Alfred strode back in with popcorn and sat back down on the floor', looking at Kat.
"Kat you can't be mad. That's not fair." He said.

“Yeah? And it’s not fair that I got taken away either. Hell, it’s not fair that my parents died. Or that the people at my new school call me a dog because I was adopted by Rachel and Henry. It’s not fair that I never get to see you anymore. It’s not fair that Rachel and Henry act like my parents. It’s not fair that you were my first and I never see you anymore. Don’t even talk to me about ‘Fair’ Alfred. Don’t. Even.” I snapped. My eyes filled with anger.

"You stopped texting me. That killed me Kat! That was nice at all! You need to get the Fu** over your parents death because that's all you whine about! I was willing to wait for you to come and visit but YOU CUT mE OFF." Alfred snarled. "And Arthur caught me. He doesnt complain about deadpeople, or get mad if I kiss someone, or anything. He's a good friend."

"Don't even say that! How the h*ll do you know what it's lik to have you're parents die, and then right away you're put up for adoption?! So maybe I do get jelouse, and yeah, I cut you off, becuase it hurt that I couldn't have you. But whatever. I get it. I'm not wanted, i'm a bad friend, I hope you're happy Alfred. I hope that you're life is f*cking perfect while I suffer." Kat yelled, she turned on her heel and stomped out the door.

"I wanted you in my life Kat! I wanted to love you! But you're such a mess nobody could fix that!" Alfred snarled after her, before huffing as the door slammed. Arthur fiddled with a string on his shirt before sighed.
"This. Is all my fault." He said in a hushed voice. Alfred shook his head, and sat down on the couch beside him, holding him in his arms.
"No..it's not.."

But you're such a mess nobody could fix that! The words stung like a lashing to the face. She had to agree though, Kat was very messed up. She couldn't justify what she did anymore, why had she cut him off in the first place? Why had she just given up? Kat couldn't recall. The past few months had been a blur of pain and work. I was willing to wait for you to come and visit but YOU CUT ME OFF! Kat opened the car door as the memory of his harsh tone lashed her again. She scotted into the little car, but didn't buckle her seat belt. She'd show him, Kat was perfectly fine with no one. She didn't need him, her dead parents, Rachel, Henry, anyone. Kat was almost 17, practically an adult. She could care for herself. And Arthur caught me. He doesnt complain about deadpeople, or get mad if I kiss someone, or anything. He's a good friend. So what if she wasn't a good friend, people were supposed to put up with her. So what if she freaked out when Alfred kissed osmeone else, but could you blame her? Maybe. The engine roared to life and Kat held her breath as she placed her foot gingerly on the gas pedal. The car sprang foward and Kat surpressed a yelp. She hated this car too, she had told Rachel over and over that she wanted a truck like Alfred's, one that handled just fine. But Rachel insisted that the little cars were cuter and 'picked up more hot guys'. You need to get the Fu** over your parents death because that's all you whine about! The voice hurt as she drove down the road. What the h*ll did he know? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I wanted to love you! Yeah right, Kat found herself driving to the peir. She frowned at this discovry and turned the car around to go and drive somewhere else.

The boys sat like that for hours, until Alfred fell asleep. Arthur simply held him, wishing he was home and he was curled up with his mother. He sighed, standing and sighing as he watched Alfred sleep. He had to leave. Arthur scribbled down a quick note, and left it on the counter, walking outside and starting his car, and hitting the gas, driving off.
